Abstract

A system includes a processor circuit and a memory coupled to the processor circuit. The memory includes machine-readable instructions that, when executed by the processor circuit, cause the processor circuit to determine a first game session state of a first game session of a wagering game at an electronic game machine (EGM) by a player in a casino environment. The instructions further cause the processor circuit to replicate the first game session state in a second game session of the wagering game at a virtual gaming device in a virtual casino environment. The instructions further cause the processor circuit to initiate the second game session in the virtual casino environment for the player such that the first game session and the second game session comprise a continuous game session.

Claims (45)

1 . A system comprising:

a processor circuit; and

a memory coupled to the processor circuit, the memory comprising machine-readable instructions that, when executed by the processor circuit, cause the processor circuit to:

determine a first game session state of a first game session of a wagering game at an electronic game machine (EGM) by a player in a casino environment, the first game session state comprising an arrangement of game symbols in a graphical user interface (GUI) of the EGM;

replicate the first game session state in a second game session of the wagering game at a virtual gaming device in a virtual casino environment, wherein replication of the first game session state in the second game session comprises arranging game symbols in a GUI of the virtual gaming device to replicate the arrangement of game symbols of the first game session state; and

initiate the second game session in the virtual casino environment for the player such that the first game session and the second game session comprise a continuous game session.

2 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the first game session state comprises a first game progress value associated with the first game session, and

wherein replication of the first game session state in the second game session comprises assigning the first game progress value to the second game session as an initial game progress value.

3 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the first game session state comprises an unlockable game feature that has been unlocked in the first game session, and

wherein replication of the first game session state in the second game session comprises unlocking the unlockable game feature in the second game session.

4 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the instructions further cause the processor circuit to

determine a player account identifier associated with the player in the first game session;

associate the first game session state with the player account identifier; and

associate the second game session with the player account identifier,

wherein replication of the first game session state in the second game session comprises a determination of the first game session state based on the player account identifier.

5 . The system of claim 4 , wherein the player account identifier is associated with a player tracking account associated with a first operator of the casino environment, and wherein the player account identifier is further associated with a virtual casino account associated with a second operator of the virtual casino environment.

6 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the instructions further cause the processor circuit to:

transmit a livestream of the first gaming session to a streaming server; and

display the livestream of the first gaming session in the virtual casino environment.

7 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the instructions further cause the processor circuit to:

transmit a livestream of the second gaming session to a streaming server; and

display the livestream of the second gaming session on a display device in the casino environment.

8 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the first game session state comprises an unlockable virtual feature for the virtual casino environment; and

wherein replication of the first game session state in the second game session comprises unlocking the unlockable virtual feature in the virtual casino environment.

9 . The system of claim 8 , wherein the unlockable virtual feature comprises access by the player to a restricted area of the virtual casino environment.

10 . The system of claim 9 , wherein the restricted area in the virtual casino environment comprises virtual wagering games comprising an enhanced game feature that is not available on virtual wagering games in a public area of the virtual casino environment.

11 . The system of claim 10 , wherein the enhanced game feature comprises an enhanced jackpot value that is higher than a public jackpot value available on virtual wagering games in the public area of the virtual casino environment.

12 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the instructions further cause the processor circuit to:

determine a non-gaming activity by the player in the casino environment;

associate a gaming award for the player comprising a virtual game feature in the wagering game in the virtual casino environment; and

provide the virtual game feature in the second game session of the virtual wagering game in the virtual casino environment.

13 . A system comprising:

a processor circuit; and

a memory coupled to the processor circuit, the memory comprising machine-readable instructions that, when executed by the processor circuit, cause the processor circuit to:

determine a first game session state comprising an arrangement of game symbols in a graphical user interface (GUI) of a first game session of a wagering game in a virtual gaming device in a virtual casino environment;

arrange game symbols in a GUI of a second game session of the wagering game at an electronic game machine (EGM) by a player in a casino environment to replicate the first game session state in the second game session; and

initiate the second game session in the casino environment for the player such that the first game session and the second game session comprise a continuous game session.

14 . The system of claim 13 , wherein the first game session state comprises a first game progress value associated with the first game session, and

wherein replication of the first game session state in the second game session comprises assigning the first game progress value to the second game session as an initial game progress value.

15 . The system of claim 13 , wherein the first game session state comprises an unlockable game feature that has been unlocked in the first game session, and

wherein replication of the first game session state in the second game session comprises unlocking the unlockable game feature in the second game session.

16 . The system of claim 13 , wherein the instructions further cause the processor circuit to:

receive a preference indication from the player associated with the wagering game at the virtual gaming device; and

determine, at the EGM in the casino environment, the preference indication associated with the wagering game,

wherein initiation of the second game session is further based on the determination of the preference indication.
