System and method for identity recertification
A method of updating certification tokens for identity verification including receiving at a server an indication of timeout of a timed-out keypair associated with a user network account performing by the server a certification process responsive to the timeout of the timed-out keypair, and adding at the server each of a sealed verification record contract address and a certification record contract address generated by the certification process to the user network account.
1 . A method of updating certification tokens for identity verification comprising:
receiving at a server an indication of timeout of a timed-out keypair associated with a user network account comprised by a user database stored on the server, the user network account comprising user data and one or more addresses associated with the user, wherein the user network account is configured to support blockchain-based operations and virtual account number generation;
performing by the server a certification process responsive to the timeout of the timed-out keypair, the certification process comprising:
receiving certification data comprising user data, hashed user data that has been signed by the user, a seal contract address, and biometric data associated with the user;
verifying the certification data by comparing it to user data comprised by the user network account, a seal contract address comprised by the user network account, and hashed user data comprised by the seal contract comprised by the user network account; and
upon verifying the certification data:
generating a certification token;
generating a sealed verification record contract comprising a result of applying a one-way hashing function to the combination of the hashed user data and the certification token;
recording the sealed verification record contract on a blockchain network at a sealed verification record contract address;
generating a certification record contract comprising a sealed record address, the certification token, and the sealed verification record contract address; and
recording the certification record contract on the blockchain network at the certification record contract address; and
adding at the server each of a sealed verification record contract address and a certification record contract address generated by the certification process to the user network account;
wherein a sealed verification record certificate located at the sealed verification record contract address is linked to another sealed verification record certificate associated with the timed-out keypair, thereby creating a chain of linked sealed verification record certificates; and
wherein a certification record certificate located at the certification record contract address is linked to another certification record certificate associated with the timed-out keypair, thereby creating a chain of linked certification record certificates.
2 . A system for maintaining updated certification tokens for identity verification comprising:
a processor;
a communication device positioned in communication with the processor and operable to communicate across a network; and
a user database comprising a plurality of user network accounts;
a non-transitory computer-readable storage medium positioned in communication with the processor and having stored thereon software that, when executed by the processor, is operable to:
receive an indication of timeout of a timed-out keypair associated with an associated user network account of the plurality of user network accounts, the associated user network account comprising user data and one or more addresses associated with a user, wherein the associated user network account is configured to support blockchain-based operations and virtual account number generation;
perform a certification process responsive to the timeout of the timed-out keypair, the certification process comprising:
receiving certification data comprising user data, hashed user data that has been signed by the user, a seal contract address, and biometric data associated with the user;
verifying the certification data by comparing it to user data comprised by the user network account, a seal contract address comprised by the user network account, and hashed user data comprised by the seal contract comprised by the user network account; and
upon verifying the certification data:
generating a certification token;
generating a sealed verification record contract comprising a result of applying a one-way hashing function to the combination of the hashed user data and the certification token;
recording the sealed verification record contract on a blockchain network at a sealed verification record contract address;
generating a certification record contract comprising a sealed record address, the certification token, and the sealed verification record contract address; and
recording the certification record contract on the blockchain network at the certification record contract address; and
add a sealed verification record contract address and a certification record contract address generated by the certification process to the associated user network account;
wherein a sealed verification record certificate located at the sealed verification record contract address is linked to another sealed verification record certificate associated with the timed-out keypair, thereby creating a chain of linked sealed verification record certificates; and
wherein a certification record certificate located at the certification record contract address is linked to another certification record certificate associated with the timed-out keypair, thereby creating a chain of linked certification record certificates.
3 . A non-transitory computer-readable medium having software stored thereon containing instructions that, when executed by one or more processors, maintains updated certification tokens for identity verification by:
receiving an indication of timeout of a timed-out keypair associated with a user network account comprised by a user database, the user network account comprising user data and one or more addresses associated with a user, wherein the user network account is configured to support blockchain-based operations and virtual account number generation;
performing a certification process responsive to the timeout of the timed-out keypair, the certification process comprising:
receiving certification data comprising user data, hashed user data that has been signed by the user, a seal contract address, and biometric data associated with the user;
verifying the certification data by comparing it to user data comprised by the user network account, a seal contract address comprised by the user network account, and hashed user data comprised by the seal contract comprised by the user network account; and
