a processor; and

a memory including instructions that, when executed by the processor, cause the television service provider system to perform operations comprising:

receiving information indicative of a scene from a television receiver disposed in a user premises;

identifying a content item based on the information indicative of the scene;

transmitting, by the television service provider system, the content item to the television receiver;

receiving an effectiveness score associated with the content item and the scene; and

updating metadata associated with the content item based on the effectiveness score, wherein the metadata comprises a selection parameter used by the television service provider system to modify future presentation of content items to the television receiver.

11 . The television service provider system of claim 10 , wherein the effectiveness score is indicative of a relevancy of the content item to the information indicative of the scene.

12 . The television service provider system of claim 10 , wherein the scene is an activity performed in the user premises.

13 . The television service provider system of claim 10 , wherein the scene is determined, by the television receiver, by processing one or more images of an area of the user premises captured by an imaging device.

14 . The television service provider system of claim 10 , wherein identifying the content item based on the information indicative of the scene comprises:

accessing, by a content delivery engine of the television service provider system, a scene repository of the television service provider system.

15 . The television service provider system of claim 10 , wherein the content item is an advertisement delivered in a time-slot that immediately succeeds a programming content being displayed on a television communicatively coupled with the television receiver.

16 . The television service provider system of claim 10 , wherein the effectiveness score is determined by detecting click or touch operations performed by a user at the user premises.

17 . One or more non-transitory, machine-readable media having machine-readable instructions thereon which, when executed by a television service provider system, causes the television service provider system to perform operations comprising:

receiving information indicative of a scene from a television receiver disposed in a user premises;

identifying a content item based on the information indicative of the scene;

transmitting, by the television service provider system, the content item to the television receiver;

receiving an effectiveness score associated with the content item and the scene; and

updating metadata associated with the content item based on the effectiveness score, wherein the metadata comprises a selection parameter used by the television service provider system to modify future presentation of content items to the television receiver.

18 . The one or more non-transitory, machine-readable media of claim 17 , wherein the effectiveness score is indicative of a relevancy of the content item to the information indicative of the scene.

19 . The one or more non-transitory, machine-readable media of claim 17 , wherein the scene is an activity performed in the user premises.

20 . The one or more non-transitory, machine-readable media of claim 17 , wherein identifying the content item based on the information indicative of the scene comprises:

accessing, by a content delivery engine of the television service provider system, a scene repository of the television service provider system.
