Abstract

A wireless device receives a downlink control message indicating a set of at least two transmission configuration indicator (TCI) states for uplink transmissions. The wireless device receives downlink control information (DCI) scheduling or activating a physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) transmission. The wireless device transmits, based on the DCI being a DCI format 0_0, the PUSCH transmission using a TCI state that occurs first in the set of at least two TCI states.

Claims (62)

1 . A wireless device comprising:

one or more processors; and

memory storing instructions that, when executed by the one or more processors, cause the wireless device to:

receive one or more radio resource control (RRC) messages comprising one or more configuration parameters, wherein the one or more configuration parameters indicate:

transmission configuration indicator (TCI) states; and

pathloss reference signals (RSs), wherein each TCI state of the TCI states is associated with a respective pathloss RS of the pathloss RSs;

receive first downlink control information (DCI) indicating at least two TCI states, of the TCI states, for uplink transmissions and downlink receptions;

receive second DCI scheduling or activating a physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) transmission; and

transmit, in response to the second DCI being a DCI format 0_0, the PUSCH transmission using a transmission power determined based on a pathloss estimate of a pathloss RS associated with a first TCI state of the at least two TCI states.

2 . The wireless device of claim 1 , wherein the at least two TCI states comprise:

at least two joint TCI states; or

at least two uplink TCI states.

3 . The wireless device of claim 1 , wherein the PUSCH transmission is transmitted further using a spatial domain transmission filter determined based on the first TCI state.

4 . The wireless device of claim 3 , wherein the spatial domain transmission filter is further determined based on the pathloss RS associated with the first TCI state.

5 . The wireless device of claim 1 , wherein the instructions further cause the wireless device to:

receive third DCI:

scheduling or activating a second PUSCH transmission; and

indicating a second TCI state; and

transmit, based on the second TCI state, the second PUSCH transmission.

6 . The wireless device of claim 1 , wherein the instructions further cause the wireless device to map the at least two TCI states to at least two TCI codepoints, wherein each TCI codepoint, of the at least two TCI codepoints, indicates one or more respective TCI states of the at least two TCI states.

7 . The wireless device of claim 6 , wherein a lowest TCI codepoint, among the at least two TCI codepoints, indicate the first TCI state.

8 . The wireless device of claim 1 , wherein the instructions further cause the wireless device to monitor, based on the first TCI state, a control resource set (coreset) for receiving the second DCI.

9 . A base station comprising:

one or more processors; and

memory storing instructions that, when executed by the one or more processors, cause the base station to:

transmit one or more radio resource control (RRC) messages comprising one or more configuration parameters, wherein the one or more configuration parameters indicate:

transmission configuration indicator (TCI) states; and

pathloss reference signals (RSs), wherein each TCI state of the TCI states is associated with a respective pathloss RS of the pathloss RSs;

transmit, to a wireless device, first downlink control information (DCI) indicating at least two TCI states, of the TCI states, for uplink transmissions and downlink receptions;

transmit second DCI scheduling or activating a physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) transmission; and

receive the PUSCH transmission based on:

the second DCI being a DCI format 0_0; and

a transmission power determined based on a pathloss estimate of a pathloss RS associated with a first TCI state of the at least two TCI states.

10 . The base station of claim 9 , wherein the at least two TCI states comprise:

at least two joint TCI states; or

at least two uplink TCI states.

11 . The base station of claim 9 , wherein the PUSCH transmission is transmitted further based on a spatial domain transmission filter determined based on the first TCI state.

12 . The base station of claim 11 , wherein the spatial domain transmission filter is further determined based on the pathloss RS associated with the first TCI state.

13 . The base station of claim 9 , wherein the instructions further cause the base station to:

transmit third DCI:

scheduling or activating a second PUSCH transmission; and

indicating a second TCI state; and

receive, based on the second TCI state, the second PUSCH transmission.

14 . The base station of claim 9 , wherein the instructions further cause the base station to transmit, based on the first TCI state, a control resource set (coreset) for receiving the second DCI.

15 . A non-transitory computer-readable medium comprising instructions that, when executed by one or more processors of a wireless device, cause the wireless device to:

receive one or more radio resource control (RRC) messages comprising one or more configuration parameters, wherein the one or more configuration parameters indicate:

transmission configuration indicator (TCI) states; and

pathloss reference signals (RSs), wherein each TCI state of the TCI states is associated with a respective pathloss RS of the pathloss RSs;

receive first downlink control information (DCI) indicating at least two TCI states, of the TCI states, for uplink transmissions and downlink receptions;

receive second DCI scheduling or activating a physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) transmission; and

transmit, in response to the second DCI being a DCI format 0_0, the PUSCH transmission using a transmission power determined based on a pathloss estimate of a pathloss RS associated with a first TCI state of the at least two TCI states.

16 . The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 15 , wherein the at least two TCI states comprise:

at least two joint TCI states; or

at least two uplink TCI states.

17 . The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 15 , wherein the PUSCH transmission is transmitted further using a spatial domain transmission filter determined based on the first TCI state.

18 . The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 17 , wherein the spatial domain transmission filter is further determined based on the pathloss RS associated with the first TCI state.

19 . The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 15 , wherein the instructions further cause the wireless device to:

receive third DCI:

scheduling or activating a second PUSCH transmission; and

indicating a second TCI state; and
