Abstract

The present disclosure relates to a method of transmitting a Random Access (RA) preamble by a user equipment (UE) in a wireless communication system. Especially, the method includes the steps of receiving information related to at least two RA resource sets including a first RA resource set and a second RA resource set from a network; receiving pause information indicating whether the first RA resource set is available or not; and performing a RA procedure related to the first RA resource set using one RA resource set determined among the at least two RA resource sets based on the pause information.

Claims (24)

1 . A method comprising:

receiving, by a user equipment (UE), information related to at least two Random Access (RA) resource sets including a delay sensitive slice specific RA resource set and a common RA resource set from a network;

based on receiving pause information indicating that the delay sensitive slice specific RA resource set is unavailable, starting, by the UE, a timer related to the delay sensitive slice specific RA resource set; and

performing, by the UE, a RA preamble transmission related to the delay sensitive slice specific RA resource set while the timer is running based on the common RA resource set.

2 . The method of claim 1 , wherein, based on the timer expiring, the RA preamble transmission related to the delay sensitive slice specific RA resource set is performed using the delay sensitive slice specific RA resource set.

3 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the pause information is broadcasted from the network.

4 . A user equipment (UE) comprising:

at least one processor; and

at least one computer memory storing instructions that, when executed by the at least one processor, cause the UE to perform operations comprising:

receiving information related to at least two random access (RA) resource sets including a delay sensitive slice specific RA resource set and a common RA resource set from a network;

based on receiving pause information indicating that the delay sensitive slice specific RA resource set is unavailable, starting a timer related to the delay sensitive slice specific RA resource set; and

performing a RA preamble transmission related to the delay sensitive slice specific RA resource set while the timer is running based on the common RA resource set.

5 . The UE of claim 4 , wherein based on the timer expiring, the RA preamble transmission related to the delay sensitive slice specific RA resource set is performed using the delay sensitive slice specific RA resource set.

6 . The UE of claim 4 , wherein the pause information is broadcasted from the network.

7 . An apparatus of a user equipment (UE), the apparatus comprising:

at least one processor; and

at least one computer memory storing instructions that, when executed by the at least one processor, cause the UE to perform operations comprising:

receiving information related to at least two random access (RA) resource sets including a delay sensitive slice specific RA resource set and a common RA resource set from a network;

based on receiving pause information indicating that the delay sensitive slice specific RA resource set is unavailable, starting a timer related to the delay sensitive slice specific RA resource set; and

performing a RA preamble transmission related to the delay sensitive slice specific RA resource set while the timer is running based on the common RA resource set.

8 . A non-transitory computer readable storage medium comprising program instructions that, when executed by at least one processor, cause a user equipment (UE) to perform operations comprising:

receiving information related to at least two random access (RA) resource sets including a delay sensitive slice specific RA resource set and a common RA resource set from a network;

based on receiving pause information indicating that the delay sensitive slice specific RA resource set unavailable, starting a timer related to the delay sensitive slice specific RA resource set; and

performing a RA preamble transmission related to the delay sensitive slice specific RA resource set while the timer is running based on the common RA resource set.
