Dispensing box comprising a stack of sheet products
A dispensing box includes a plurality of walls connected to each other, defining an interior volume, and a stack of sheet products received in the interior volume. An opening for removing sheet products is provided in a top wall of the plurality of walls. The dispensing box further includes a cover member. The plurality of walls is made of a first material, the cover member is made of a second material, and the second material is more flexible than the first material. The cover member has a first cut extending in a first direction and having an extension of at least 70% of the extension of the stack of sheet products. The cover member further has at least one second cut extending from the first cut along a second direction intersecting the first direction.
1 . A dispensing box, comprising:
a plurality of walls connected to each other and defining an interior volume, the plurality of walls including a top wall;
a stack of sheet products received in the interior volume;
an opening for removing sheet products provided at least in the top wall of the plurality of walls, wherein a width of the opening varies over a length of the opening, at least one side of the opening being contoured such that a width of the opening reduces from a central portion of the opening towards a side of the opening; and
a cover member provided so as to at least partly close the opening,
wherein the plurality of walls is made of a first material, the cover member is made of a second material, and the second material is more flexible than the first material,
wherein the cover member has a first cut extending along a first direction, parallel to a length of the cover member, the first cut having a first end in the first direction and a second end in the first direction,
wherein the first cut has an extension in the first direction which is at least 70% of an extension of the stack of sheet products in the first direction, and
wherein the cover member further has a plurality of second cuts extending from the first cut along a second direction intersecting the first direction,
wherein the plurality of second cuts including two second cuts,
wherein the two second cuts extending from the first cut at a first position and a second position, respectively,
wherein the first position and the second position being located between the first end and the second end of the first cut,
wherein each of the plurality of second cuts is arranged at a position relative to the first cut where the opening has a maximum width,
wherein the opening has a first portion having a constant width along the first direction, and a second portion extending from the first portion and reducing in width towards the sides of the opening, and
wherein at least one of the second cuts is arranged at an intersection of the first portion and the second portion.
2 . The dispensing box according to claim 1 , wherein the second position is also located between the first end and the second end of the first cut.
3 . The dispensing box according to claim 1 , wherein the plurality of second cuts extend from the first cut towards opposite sides of the opening.
4 . The dispensing box according to claim 1 , wherein the plurality of second cuts extend from the first cut towards a same side of the opening.
5 . The dispensing box according to claim 1 , wherein the cover member has four second cuts.
6 . The dispensing box according to claim 1 , wherein at least one of the plurality of second cuts extends substantially to an edge of the opening.
7 . The dispensing box according to claim 1 , wherein the second direction is substantially perpendicular to the first direction.
8 . The dispensing box according to claim 1 , wherein the width of the opening in the direction perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the opening is at least 30% of the length of the opening in the longitudinal direction of the opening.
9 . The dispensing box according to claim 1 , wherein the first cut has an extension in the first direction which is not more than 90% of an extension of the stack of sheet products in the first direction.
10 . The dispensing box according to claim 1 , wherein the plurality of walls has two opposing side walls which are connected to each other by the top wall, and the opening extends to the side walls so as to be present also in the side walls.
11 . The dispensing box according to claim 1 , wherein the plurality of walls substantially has a rectangular prism shape or a cubic shape.
12 . The dispensing box according to claim 1 , wherein adjacent sheet products in the stack of sheet products are interfolded with each other.
13 . The dispensing box according to claim 1 , wherein the first cut has a straight shape, a curved shape or an undulating shape.
14 . The dispensing box according to claim 1 , wherein the at least one second cut has a straight shape, a curved shape or an undulating shape.
15 . The dispensing box according to claim 1 , wherein the first cut substantially extends along a center of the opening.
16 . The dispensing box according to claim 1 , wherein the plurality of walls is made of cardboard.
17 . The dispensing box according to claim 1 , wherein the cover member is made of a plastic material.
18 . The dispensing box according to claim 1 , wherein the stack of sheet products is received in the interior volume in a substantially uncompressed state.
19 . The dispensing box according to claim 1 , wherein the cover member has a thickness in the range of 60 μm to 80 μm.
20 . The dispensing box according to claim 1 , wherein the first cut extends to the side walls so as to be formed in the side walls, and each of the plurality of second cuts is formed in the top wall.
21 . A dispensing box, comprising:
a plurality of walls connected to each other and defining an interior volume;
a stack of sheet products received in the interior volume;
an opening for removing sheet products provided at least in a top wall of the plurality of walls; and
a cover member provided so as to at least partly close the opening,
wherein the plurality of walls is made of a first material, the cover member is made of a second material, and the second material is more flexible than the first material,
the cover member has a first cut extending along a first direction,
the cover member further has at least one second cut extending from the first cut along a second direction intersecting the first direction; and
the cover member further has at least one third cut extending from the at least one second cut in a third direction arranged to intersect both the first direction and the second direction,
the at least one third cut being oriented parallel to and offset from an adjacent surface of the opening and extending towards a center of the opening in a longitudinal direction of the opening,
wherein the at least one third cut extends from the at least one second cut at a position spaced away from the first cut.
