Abstract

The invention relates to a lock striker ( 1, 25 ) for a motor vehicle door lock, having a lock striker plate ( 2, 30 ) and a lock striker bracket ( 3 ) which is secured to the lock striker plate. The lock striker bracket ( 3 ) is formed with a locking pin ( 4 ), a central piece ( 6 ), and a connecting region ( 7, 24 ), wherein the lock striker bracket ( 3 ) is designed in at least two parts, and the central piece ( 6 ) and the connecting region ( 7, 24 ) are made of a sheet metal strip ( 5, 23 ).

Claims (22)

1 . A lock striker for a motor vehicle door lock comprising:

a lock striker plate and a lock striker bracket,

wherein the lock striker bracket is secured to the lock striker plate,

wherein the lock striker bracket comprises a locking pin, a central piece and a connecting region,

wherein the lock striker bracket is designed in at least two parts,

wherein the central piece and the connecting region are made of a sheet metal strip,

wherein the lock striker plate includes at least one recess,

wherein the sheet metal strip includes at least one extension, wherein a respective one of the least one extension is inserted into the recess of the lock striker plate, and

wherein a width of the at least one extension is smaller than a width of the connecting region.

2 . The lock striker according to claim 1 , wherein the sheet metal strip is non-detachably connected to the lock striker plate.

3 . The lock striker according to claim 1 , wherein the sheet metal strip is connected to the lock striker plate by riveting.

4 . The lock striker according to claim 1 , wherein the at least one extension is designed with insertion aids.

5 . The lock striker according to claim 4 , wherein the insertion aids are chamfers.

6 . The lock striker according to claim 1 , wherein the sheet metal strip in the connecting region is bent at least in some regions.

7 . The lock striker according to claim 1 , wherein the sheet metal strip is at least partially conical in the region of the central piece.

8 . The lock striker according to claim 1 , wherein the lock striker plate has a depression, wherein a deformation of the locking pin and the sheet metal strip is accommodated in the depression.

9 . The lock striker according to claim 1 , further comprising a contact region between the sheet metal strip and the lock striker plate, wherein the contact region forms an abutment for forming the at least one extension.

10 . The lock striker according to claim 1 , wherein the locking pin of the lock striker bracket is cylindrical.

11 . The lock striker according to claim 1 , wherein the lock striker plate has two recesses and the sheet metal strip has two extensions that are inserted into corresponding recesses of the lock striker plate.

12 . The lock striker according to claim 1 , wherein the lock striker plate has an elevated region from which the locking pin and connecting region extend.

13 . The lock striker according to claim 1 , wherein the locking pin includes material thickenings that serve as contact regions wherein the locking pin bears against the lock striker plate and the central piece.

14 . The lock striker according to claim 1 , wherein the locking pin and the sheet metal component are separate, wherein the locking pin includes a material thickening that serves as a contact region for cold forming an axial end of the locking pin for attaching the sheet metal component to the axial end of the locking pin.
