Abstract

Some demonstrative embodiments include apparatuses, systems and/or methods of determining one or more parameters of a lens, For example, a computing device may be configured to process at least one depth map including depth information captured via a lens; and to determine one or more parameters of the lens based on the depth information.

Claims (30)

1 . A non-transitory computer-readable electronic storage medium comprising computer-executable instructions operable to, when executed by at least one computer processor, enable the at least one computer processor to cause a computing device to:

process at least one depth map of a reference object, wherein the at least one depth map includes at least one feature on the reference object, the at least one feature being projected to the reference object at least partially via a lens and at least partially not via the lens, wherein the at least one depth map is at least partially captured by a depth mapper not via the lens;

determine a depth of the at least one feature based on a change in a location of the at least one feature in the at least one depth map; and

determine a power of the lens based on the depth of the at least one feature.

2 . The non-transitory computer-readable electronic storage medium of claim 1 , wherein determining the depth of the at least one feature includes comparing a first size of the at least one feature as represented on the reference object without the lens and a second size of the at least one feature as represented on the reference object through the lens.

3 . The non-transitory computer-readable electronic storage medium of claim 1 , wherein the at least one feature is projected by a structured light projector.

4 . The non-transitory computer-readable electronic storage medium of claim 1 , wherein the lens scales the at least one feature across the reference object.

5 . The non-transitory computer-readable electronic storage medium of claim 1 , wherein processing at least one depth map comprises processing a plurality of depth maps corresponding to a plurality of lens angles.

6 . The non-transitory computer-readable electronic storage medium of claim 1 , wherein the at least one depth map is captured by the depth mapper while the lens is at substantially zero distance from the depth mapper.

7 . The non-transitory computer-readable electronic storage medium of claim 1 , wherein the depth mapper comprises a stereo camera.

8 . The non-transitory computer-readable electronic storage medium of claim 7 , wherein the at least one depth map is captured by a first camera of the stereo camera capturing a first image of the reference object via the lens and by a second camera of the stereo camera capturing a second image of the reference object not via the lens.

9 . A method of determining a lens parameter, the method comprising:

processing at least one depth map of a reference object, wherein the at least one depth map includes at least one feature projected on the reference object by a structured light projector, the at least one feature being projected to the reference object at least partially via a tested lens and at least partially not via the tested lens, wherein the at least one depth map is at least partially captured by a depth mapper not via the lens;

determining a depth of the at least one feature based on a change in a location of the at least one feature in the at least one depth map; and

determining a power of the tested lens based on the depth of the at least one feature.

10 . The method of claim 9 , wherein the at least one feature is on a planar surface of the reference object.

11 . The method of claim 9 , wherein determining the depth of the at least one feature includes comparing a first size of the at least one feature as represented on the reference object without the tested lens and a second size of the at least one feature as represented on the reference object through the tested lens.

12 . The method of claim 9 , wherein the lens scales the at least one feature across the reference object.

13 . The method of claim 9 , wherein processing at least one depth map comprises processing a plurality of depth maps corresponding to a plurality of lens angles.

14 . The method of claim 9 , wherein the at least one depth map is captured by the depth mapper while the tested lens is placed on the depth mapper.

15 . The method of claim 9 , wherein the depth mapper comprises a stereo camera.

16 . A method of determining a lens parameter, comprising:

processing a first sensor signal from a first ray from a structured light projector along a first path to a sensor, the first path passing through a lens;

processing a second sensor signal from a second ray from the structured light projector along a second path to the sensor, the second path not passing through the lens;

determining a path difference between the first path and the second path; and

determining a parameter of the lens based on the path difference.

17 . The method of claim 16 , wherein the first sensor signal and the second sensor signal each comprise a time of flight (ToF) measurement.

18 . The method of claim 16 , wherein the lens comprises two crossed cylindrical lenses.

19 . The method of claim 16 , wherein the first ray and the second ray reflect from a planar object on the first path to the sensor and the second path to the sensor, respectively.

20 . The method of claim 16 , wherein determining the parameter of the lens includes measuring, via a depth sensor of the sensor, a depth value directly related to the path difference.
