User interfaces for altering visual media
The present disclosure generally relates to user interfaces for altering visual media. In some embodiments, user interfaces capturing visual media (e.g., via a synthetic depth-of-field effect), playing back visual media (e.g., via a synthetic depth-of-field effect), editing visual media (e.g., that has a synthetic depth-of-field effect applied), and/or managing media capture.
1 . A computer system configured to communicate with one or more display generation components, the computer system comprising:
one or more processors; and
memory storing one or more programs configured to be executed by the one or more processors, the one or more programs including instructions for:
displaying, via the one or more display generation components, a user interface that includes a representation of a video, wherein displaying the user interface includes:
in accordance with a determination that content of the video is in a first playback mode, displaying, with a first visual appearance, a video editing user interface element that includes one or more change indicators that indicate one or more locations in the video where a visual effect changes during playback of the video; and
in accordance with a determination that the content of the video is not in the first playback mode, forgoing display of the video editing user interface element with the first visual appearance.
2 . The computer system of claim 1 , wherein the video editing user interface element includes:
a first selectable user interface object for editing the visual effect at a first time in the video; and
a second selectable user interface object, different from the first selectable user interface object, for editing the visual effect at a second time in the video that is different from the first time.
3 . The computer system of claim 1 , wherein the one or more change indicators that indicate the one or more locations in the video where the visual effect changes during playback of the video includes a first change indicator that corresponds to a first change in the visual effect, wherein:
in accordance with a determination that the first change in the visual effect occurs at a first time in the video, the first change indicator is displayed at a first location; and
in accordance with a determination that the first change in the visual effect occurs at a second time in the video, different from the first time in the video, the first change indicator is displayed at a second location that is different from the first location.

The computer system of claim 3 , wherein the one or more change indicators that indicate the one or more locations in the video where the visual effect changes during playback of the video includes a second change indicator that corresponds to a second change in the visual effect that is different from the first change in the visual effect, wherein:
in accordance with a determination that the second change in the visual effect occurs at a third time in the video, the second change indicator is displayed at a third location; and
in accordance with a determination that the second change in the visual effect occurs at a fourth time in the video, different from the third time in the video, the second change indicator is displayed at a fourth location that is different from the third location.
5 . The computer system of claim 1 , wherein displaying the user interface includes:
in accordance with the determination that the content of the video is not in the first playback mode, displaying the user interface that includes the representation of the video without displaying the video editing user interface element.
6 . The computer system of claim 1 , wherein displaying the user interface includes:
in accordance with the determination that the content of the video is not in the first playback mode, displaying, via the one or more display generation components, the video editing user interface element with a second visual appearance that is different from the first visual appearance.
7 . The computer system of claim 1 , the one or more programs further including instructions for:
while the content of the video is in the first playback mode, concurrently displaying, via the one or more display generation components, the video editing user interface element with a selectable indicator for trimming a portion of the video.
8 . The computer system of claim 7 , the one or more programs further including instructions for:
while the content of the video is not in the first playback mode, displaying, via the one or more display generation components, the selectable indicator to trim the portion of the video without displaying the video editing user interface element.
9 . The computer system of claim 7 , the one or more programs further including instructions for:
while the content of the video is in the first playback mode, concurrently displaying, via the one or more display generation components, the video editing user interface element with a video navigation user interface element for navigating through the video.
10 . The computer system of claim 1 , wherein the video is associated with a respective change in the visual effect, the one or more programs further including instructions for:
while displaying the user interface that includes the representation of the video:
in accordance with the determination that content of the video is in the first playback mode, displaying, during playback of the video, the representation of the video with the respective change in visual effect; and
in accordance with the determination that content of the video is not in the first playback mode, displaying, during playback of the video, the representation of the video without the respective change in visual effect.
11 . The computer system of claim 1 , wherein the visual effect corresponds to a synthetic dept-of-field effect.
12 . A non-transitory computer-readable storage medium storing one or more programs configured to be executed by one or more processors of a computer system that is in communication with one or more display generation components, the one or more programs including instructions for:
displaying, via the one or more display generation components, a user interface that includes a representation of a video, wherein displaying the user interface includes:
in accordance with a determination that content of the video is in a first playback mode, displaying, with a first visual appearance, a video editing user interface element that includes one or more change indicators that indicate one or more locations in the video where a visual effect changes during playback of the video; and
in accordance with a determination that the content of the video is not in the first playback mode, forgoing display of the video editing user interface element with the first visual appearance.
13 . The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 12 , wherein the video editing user interface element includes:
a first selectable user interface object for editing the visual effect at a first time in the video; and
a second selectable user interface object, different from the first selectable user interface object, for editing the visual effect at a second time in the video that is different from the first time.
14 . The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 12 , wherein the one or more change indicators that indicate the one or more locations in the video where the visual effect changes during playback of the video includes a first change indicator that corresponds to a first change in the visual effect, wherein:
in accordance with a determination that the first change in the visual effect occurs at a first time in the video, the first change indicator is displayed at a first location; and
in accordance with a determination that the first change in the visual effect occurs at a second time in the video, different from the first time in the video, the first change indicator is displayed at a second location that is different from the first location.

The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 14 , wherein the one or more change indicators that indicate the one or more locations in the video where the visual effect changes during playback of the video includes a second change indicator that corresponds to a second change in the visual effect that is different from the first change in the visual effect, wherein:
in accordance with a determination that the second change in the visual effect occurs at a third time in the video, the second change indicator is displayed at a third location; and
in accordance with a determination that the second change in the visual effect occurs at a fourth time in the video, different from the third time in the video, the second change indicator is displayed at a fourth location that is different from the third location.
16 . The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 12 , wherein displaying the user interface includes:
in accordance with the determination that the content of the video is not in the first playback mode, displaying the user interface that includes the representation of the video without displaying the video editing user interface element.
17 . The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 12 , wherein displaying the user interface includes:
in accordance with the determination that the content of the video is not in the first playback mode, displaying, via the one or more display generation components, the video editing user interface element with a second visual appearance that is different from the first visual appearance.
18 . The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 12 , the one or more programs further including instructions for:
while the content of the video is in the first playback mode, concurrently displaying, via the one or more display generation components, the video editing user interface element with a selectable indicator for trimming a portion of the video.
19 . The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 18 , the one or more programs further including instructions for:
while the content of the video is not in the first playback mode, displaying, via the one or more display generation components, the selectable indicator to trim the portion of the video without displaying the video editing user interface element.
20 . The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 18 , the one or more programs further including instructions for:
while the content of the video is in the first playback mode, concurrently displaying, via the one or more display generation components, the video editing user interface element with a video navigation user interface element for navigating through the video.
21 . The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 12 , wherein the video is associated with a respective change in the visual effect, the one or more programs further including instructions for:
while displaying the user interface that includes the representation of the video:
in accordance with the determination that content of the video is in the first playback mode, displaying, during playback of the video, the representation of the video with the respective change in visual effect; and
in accordance with the determination that content of the video is not in the first playback mode, displaying, during playback of the video, the representation of the video without the respective change in visual effect.
22 . The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 12 , wherein the visual effect corresponds to a synthetic dept-of-field effect.
23 . A method, comprising:
at a computer system that is in communication with one or more display generation components:
displaying, via the one or more display generation components, a user interface that includes a representation of a video, wherein displaying the user interface includes:
in accordance with a determination that content of the video is in a first playback mode, displaying, with a first visual appearance, a video editing user interface element that includes one or more change indicators that indicate one or more locations in the video where a visual effect changes during playback of the video; and
in accordance with a determination that the content of the video is not in the first playback mode, forgoing display of the video editing user interface element with the first visual appearance.
24 . The method of claim 23 , wherein the video editing user interface element includes:
a first selectable user interface object for editing the visual effect at a first time in the video; and
a second selectable user interface object, different from the first selectable user interface object, for editing the visual effect at a second time in the video that is different from the first time.
25 . The method of claim 23 , wherein the one or more change indicators that indicate the one or more locations in the video where the visual effect changes during playback of the video includes a first change indicator that corresponds to a first change in the visual effect, wherein:
in accordance with a determination that the first change in the visual effect occurs at a first time in the video, the first change indicator is displayed at a first location; and
in accordance with a determination that the first change in the visual effect occurs at a second time in the video, different from the first time in the video, the first change indicator is displayed at a second location that is different from the first location.
26 . The method of claim 25 , wherein the one or more change indicators that indicate the one or more locations in the video where the visual effect changes during playback of the video includes a second change indicator that corresponds to a second change in the visual effect that is different from the first change in the visual effect, wherein:
in accordance with a determination that the second change in the visual effect occurs at a third time in the video, the second change indicator is displayed at a third location; and
in accordance with a determination that the second change in the visual effect occurs at a fourth time in the video, different from the third time in the video, the second change indicator is displayed at a fourth location that is different from the third location.
27 . The method of claim 23 , wherein displaying the user interface includes:
in accordance with the determination that the content of the video is not in the first playback mode, displaying the user interface that includes the representation of the video without displaying the video editing user interface element.
28 . The method of claim 23 , wherein displaying the user interface includes:
in accordance with the determination that the content of the video is not in the first playback mode, displaying, via the one or more display generation components, the video editing user interface element with a second visual appearance that is different from the first visual appearance.
29 . The method of claim 23 , further comprising:
while the content of the video is in the first playback mode, concurrently displaying, via the one or more display generation components, the video editing user interface element with a selectable indicator for trimming a portion of the video.
30 . The method of claim 29 , further comprising:
while the content of the video is not in the first playback mode, displaying, via the one or more display generation components, the selectable indicator to trim the portion of the video without displaying the video editing user interface element.
31 . The method of claim 29 , further comprising:
while the content of the video is in the first playback mode, concurrently displaying, via the one or more display generation components, the video editing user interface element with a video navigation user interface element for navigating through the video.
32 . The method of claim 23 , wherein the video is associated with a respective change in the visual effect, further comprising:
while displaying the user interface that includes the representation of the video:
in accordance with the determination that content of the video is in the first playback mode, displaying, during playback of the video, the representation of the video with the respective change in visual effect; and
in accordance with the determination that content of the video is not in the first playback mode, displaying, during playback of the video, the representation of the video without the respective change in visual effect.
33 . The method of claim 23 , wherein the visual effect corresponds to a synthetic dept-of-field effect.
