Abstract

A terminal includes: a receiving unit which receives, from a core network device, an identifier of a subgroup of a paging occasion to which the terminal belongs, and which receives, from a base station, system information including information for indicating a total number of subgroups of the paging occasion and information for indicating a number of paging occasions corresponding to one Paging Early Indication (PEI) monitoring occasion; and a control unit which performs monitoring of a physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) for first downlink control information (DCI) including a field of a PEI in the PEI monitoring occasion, wherein the control unit performs monitoring of a PDCCH for second DCI in the paging occasion in a case where a value of the PEI indicates the subgroup of the paging occasion to which the terminal belongs; and performs no monitoring of the PDCCH for the second DCI in the paging occasion in a case where the PEI is not detected, or a value of the PEI does not indicate the subgroup of the paging occasion to which the terminal belongs, and a number of bits for the field of the PEI is determined based on the information for indicating the total number of subgroups of the paging occasion and the information for indicating the number of paging occasions corresponding to the one PEI monitoring occasion.

Claims (24)

1 . A terminal comprising:

a memory storing instructions; and

one or more processors configured to execute the instructions to:

receive, from a core network device, an identifier of a subgroup of a paging occasion to which the terminal belongs;

receive, from a base station, system information including information for indicating a total number of subgroups of the paging occasion and information for indicating a number of paging occasions corresponding to one Paging Early Indication (PEI) monitoring occasion;

perform monitoring of a physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) for first downlink control information (DCI) including a field of a PEI in the PEI monitoring occasion;

perform monitoring of a PDCCH for second DCI in the paging occasion in a case where a value of the PEI indicates the subgroup of the paging occasion to which the terminal belongs; and

perform no monitoring of the PDCCH for the second DCI in the paging occasion in a case where the PEI is not detected, or a value of the PEI does not indicate the subgroup of the paging occasion to which the terminal belongs, and

a number of bits for the field of the PEI is determined based on the information for indicating the total number of subgroups of the paging occasion and the information for indicating the number of paging occasions corresponding to the one PEI monitoring occasion.

2 . The terminal according to claim 1 , wherein the one or more processors are further configured to:

receive, from the base station, the system information including an index of a search space set for the monitoring of the PDCCH for the first DCI and information for configuring the search space set for the monitoring of the PDCCH for the first DCI;

perform the monitoring of the PDCCH for the first DCI in a monitoring occasion corresponding to Remaining system information (RMSI) in a case where the index of the search space set is configured to be 0; and

perform the monitoring of the PDCCH for the first DCI in a monitoring occasion based on the information for configuring the search space set in a case where the index of the search space set is configured to be other than 0.

3 . A wireless communication method performed by a terminal comprising:

receiving, from a core network device, an identifier of a subgroup of a paging occasion to which the terminal belongs,

receiving, from a base station, system information including information for indicating a total number of subgroups of the paging occasion and information for indicating a number of paging occasions corresponding to one PEI (Paging Early Indication) monitoring occasion,

performing monitoring of a physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) for first downlink control information (DCI) including a field of a PEI in the PEI monitoring occasion,

performing monitoring of a PDCCH for second DCI in the paging occasion in a case where a value of the PEI indicates the subgroup of the paging occasion to which the terminal belongs, and

performing no monitoring of the PDCCH for the second DCI in the paging occasion in a case where the PEI is not detected, or a value of the PEI does not indicate the subgroup of the paging occasion to which the terminal belongs, wherein

a number of bits for the field of the PEI is determined based on the information for indicating the total number of subgroups of the paging occasion and the information for indicating the number of paging occasions corresponding to the one PEI monitoring occasion.

4 . The wireless communication method according to claim 3 , further comprising:

receiving, from the base station, the system information including an index of a search space set for the monitoring of the PDCCH for the first DCI and information for configuring the search space for the monitoring of the PDCCH for the first DCI,

performing the monitoring of the PDCCH for the first DCI in a monitoring occasion corresponding to Remaining system information (RMSI) in a case where the index of the search space set is configured to be 0, and

performing the monitoring of the PDCCH for the first DCI in a monitoring occasion based on the information for configuring the search space set in a case where the index of the search space set is configured to be other than 0.
