Joint activation and/or release for multiple configured grant and/or semi-persistent scheduling configurations
Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive a single downlink control information (DCI) message. The UE may map a bit sequence in the single DCI message to a configuration set that includes multiple downlink semi-persistent scheduling configurations or multiple uplink configured grant configurations to be jointly activated or released. Numerous other aspects are provided.
1 . A user equipment (UE) for wireless communication, comprising:
one or more memories; and
one or more processors, coupled to the one or more memories, configured to:
receive a single downlink control information (DCI) message that includes a bit sequence, wherein the bit sequence is provided in a hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) process number field of the single DCI message; and
transmit, through a physical uplink control channel (PUCCH) resource, a codebook that includes an individual acknowledgement bit based at least in part on the bit sequence indicating that multiple downlink semi-persistent scheduling (SPS) configurations for a bandwidth part (BWP) of a serving cell are to be jointly released, the individual acknowledgement bit being used to acknowledge the multiple downlink SPS configurations that were released, wherein a value of the HARQ process number field of the single DCI message indicates a corresponding downlink SPS configuration of the multiple downlink SPS configurations that is activated.
2 . The UE of claim 1 , wherein the bit sequence in the single DCI message indicates a configuration set that includes the multiple downlink SPS configurations to be released.
3 . The UE of claim 1 , wherein the HARQ process number field of the single DCI message comprises four bits.
4 . The UE of claim 1 , wherein the individual acknowledgement bit is used to acknowledge all of the multiple downlink SPS configurations that were released.
5 . The UE of claim 1 , wherein the codebook is a hybrid automatic repeat request-acknowledgement (HARQ-ACK) codebook.
6 . The UE of claim 5 , wherein the HARQ-ACK codebook is a Type-1 HARQ-ACK codebook.
7 . The UE of claim 1 , wherein a location of the individual acknowledgement bit in the codebook corresponds to a physical downlink shared channel (PDSCH) reception occasion.
8 . The UE of claim 7 , wherein the PDSCH reception occasion is associated with the multiple downlink SPS configurations.
9 . The UE of claim 1 , wherein the individual acknowledgement bit is used to acknowledge another one of the multiple downlink SPS configurations that was released.
10 . A method of wireless communication performed by a user equipment (UE), comprising:
receiving a single downlink control information (DCI) message that includes a bit sequence, wherein the bit sequence is provided in a hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) process number field of the single DCI message; and
transmitting, through a physical uplink control channel (PUCCH) resource, a codebook that includes an individual acknowledgement bit based at least in part on the bit sequence indicating that multiple downlink semi-persistent scheduling (SPS) configurations for a bandwidth part (BWP) of a serving cell are to be jointly released, the individual acknowledgement bit being used to acknowledge the multiple downlink SPS configurations that were released, wherein a value of the HARQ process number field of the single DCI message indicates a corresponding downlink SPS configuration of the multiple downlink SPS configurations that is activated.
11 . The method of claim 10 , wherein the bit sequence in the single DCI message indicates a configuration set that includes the multiple downlink SPS configurations to be released.
12 . The method of claim 10 , wherein the HARQ process number field of the single DCI message comprises four bits.
13 . The method of claim 10 , comprising acknowledging all of the multiple downlink SPS configurations that were released.
14 . The method of claim 10 , wherein the codebook is a hybrid automatic repeat request-acknowledgement (HARQ-ACK) codebook.
15 . The method of claim 14 , wherein the HARQ-ACK codebook is a Type-1 HARQ-ACK codebook.
16 . The method of claim 10 , wherein a location of the individual acknowledgement bit in the codebook corresponds to a physical downlink shared channel (PDSCH) reception occasion.
17 . The method of claim 16 , wherein the PDSCH reception occasion is associated with the multiple downlink SPS configurations.
18 . A non-transitory computer-readable medium storing a set of instructions for wireless communication, the set of instructions comprising:
one or more instructions that, when executed by one or more processors of a user equipment (UE), cause the UE to:
receive a single downlink control information (DCI) message that includes a bit sequence, wherein the bit sequence is provided in a hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) process number field of the single DCI message; and
transmit, through a physical uplink control channel (PUCCH) resource, a codebook that includes an individual acknowledgement bit based at least in part on the bit sequence indicating that multiple downlink semi-persistent scheduling (SPS) configurations for a bandwidth part (BWP) of a serving cell are to be jointly released, the individual acknowledgement bit being used to acknowledge the multiple downlink SPS configurations that were released, wherein a value of the HARQ process number field of the single DCI message indicates a corresponding downlink SPS configuration of the multiple downlink SPS configurations that is activated.
