Method and apparatus for transceiving data units via paired serving cells in wireless communication system
The present invention relates to a method of communicating via paired serving cells by a user equipment (UE) in a wireless communication system. In particular, the method includes the steps of: receiving information related to a first deactivation timer for a primary cell and a second deactivation timer for an assistant cell; starting the first and second deactivation timers; transmitting or receiving a first data unit via the primary cell during the first deactivation timer is running, wherein, based on the second deactivation timer expiring and the first deactivation timer being running, the second deactivation timer is re-started; and transmitting or receiving a second data unit via the assistant cell during the second deactivation timer is running.
1 . A method comprising:
receiving, by a user equipment (UE), information related to a first deactivation timer for a primary cell and a second deactivation timer for an assistant cell;
starting, by the UE, the first and second deactivation timers;
transmitting or receiving, by the UE, a first data unit via the primary cell during the first deactivation timer is running, wherein, based on the second deactivation timer expiring and the first deactivation timer being running, the second deactivation timer is re-started; and
transmitting or receiving, by the UE, a second data unit via the assistant cell during the second deactivation timer is running,
wherein, based on a PDCP duplication being activated, the second data unit is transmitted or received via the assistant cell during the second deactivation timer is running, and
wherein the second data unit is a duplicated data unit of the first data unit.
2 . The method of claim 1 , wherein, based on the first deactivation timer being re-started, the second deactivation timer is re-started.
3 . The method of claim 1 , wherein, based on the first deactivation timer expiring, the first deactivation timer is not re-started regardless of whether the second deactivation timer is running or not.
4 . A user equipment (UE) comprising:
at least one processor; and
at least one computer memory storing instructions that, when executed by the at least one processor, cause the UE to perform operations comprising:
receiving information related to a first deactivation timer for a primary cell and a second deactivation timer for an assistant cell;
starting the first and second deactivation timers;
transmitting or receiving a first data unit via the primary cell during the first deactivation timer is running, wherein, based on the second deactivation timer expiring and the first deactivation timer being running, the second deactivation timer is re-started; and
transmitting or receiving a second data unit via the assistant cell during the second deactivation timer is running,
wherein, based on a PDCP duplication being activated, the second data unit is transmitted or received via the assistant cell during the second deactivation timer is running, and
wherein the second data unit is a duplicated data unit of the first data unit.
5 . The UE of claim 4 , wherein, based on the first deactivation timer being re-started, the second deactivation timer is re-started.
6 . The UE of claim 4 , wherein, based on the first deactivation timer expiring, the first deactivation timer is not re-started regardless of whether the second deactivation timer is running or not.
7 . An apparatus for a user equipment (UE), the apparatus comprising:
at least one processor; and
at least one computer memory storing instructions that, when executed by the at least one processor, cause the UE to perform operations comprising:
receiving information related to a first deactivation timer for a primary cell and a second deactivation timer for an assistant cell;
starting the first and second deactivation timers;
transmitting or receiving a first data unit via the primary cell during the first deactivation timer is running, wherein, based on the second deactivation timer expiring and the first deactivation timer being running, the second deactivation timer is re-started; and
transmitting or receiving a second data unit via the assistant cell during the second deactivation timer is running,
wherein, based on a PDCP duplication being activated, the second data unit is transmitted or received via the assistant cell during the second deactivation timer is running, and
wherein the second data unit is a duplicated data unit of the first data unit.
8 . A non-transitory computer readable storage medium comprising program instructions that, when executed by at least one processor, cause a user equipment (UE) to perform operations comprising:
receiving information related to a first deactivation timer for a primary cell and a second deactivation timer for an assistant cell;
starting the first and second deactivation timers;
transmitting or receiving a first data unit via the primary cell during the first deactivation timer is running, wherein, based on the second deactivation timer expiring and the first deactivation timer being running, the second deactivation timer is re-started; and
transmitting or receiving a second data unit via the assistant cell during the second deactivation timer is running,
wherein, based on a PDCP duplication being activated, the second data unit is transmitted or received via the assistant cell during the second deactivation timer is running, and
wherein the second data unit is a duplicated data unit of the first data unit.
