Abstract

A composite wearable includes a first toroid, substantially formed of a first material and having a recess, and a second toroid substantially formed of a second material. The recess is sized and shaped to at least partially receive the second toroid in a manually-removable friction fit such that the second toroid may be manually interchanged with another second toroid, or the first toroid may be manually interchanged with another first toroid, to adjust a configuration of the composite wearable. One of the toroids may be formed of a substantially rigid material and the other may be formed of a substantially flexible material. The recess may be at least partly defined by two inner sidewalls of the first toroid, each inner sidewall having a surface perpendicular to an axis of rotation of the first toroid. The second toroid may be configured to fully fill the recess leaving no air pocket.

Claims (6)

1 . A composite wearable, comprising:

a first toroid substantially formed of a first material and having a recess therein, the recess at least partly defined by two inner sidewalls of the first toroid, each inner sidewall having a surface perpendicular to an axis of rotation of the first toroid; and

a second toroid substantially formed of a second material;

wherein the recess of the first toroid is sized and shaped to at least partially receive the second toroid in a manually-removable friction fit such that the second toroid may be manually interchanged with another second toroid, or the first toroid may be manually interchanged with another first toroid, to adjust a configuration of the composite wearable;

wherein one of the first toroid and the second toroid is formed of a substantially rigid material and the other of the first toroid and the second toroid is formed of a substantially flexible material; and

wherein the first toroid comprises an outer surface and an opposite inner surface, the inner surface being closer to a digit when the composite wearable is being worn thereon, and wherein the recess is formed at the inner surface.
