Cooking device and components thereof
A cooking system includes a housing having at least one internal compartment and a cooking container receivable within said at least one internal compartment. A cooking volume is defined within an interior of said cooking container. A bottom surface of said cooking container is angled upwardly. A heating element is associated with said at least one internal compartment.
1 . A cooking system comprising:
a housing having a first internal compartment and a second internal compartment;
a first cooking container receivable within the first internal compartment, an interior of the first cooking container defining a first cooking volume;
a second cooking container receivable within the second internal compartment, an interior of the second cooking container defining a second cooking volume, the first and second cooking volumes being thermally and fluidly separate from each other;
a first heater thermally connected to the first internal compartment and a second heater thermally connected to the second internal compartment; and
a first fan and a second fan disposed in the housing, the first fan being in fluid communication with the first cooking volume and the second fan being in fluid communication with the second cooking volume;
a user interface including a first input and a second input, the first input being operably coupled to the first heater and the first fan and configured to receive a first time associated with operation of the first heater and the first fan, and the second input being operably coupled to the second heater and the second fan and configured to receive a second time associated with operation of the second heater and the second fan; and
a control system configured to perform cooking operations associated with both the first internal compartment and the second internal compartment via operation of both the first and second heaters and the first and second fans.
2 . The cooking system of claim 1 , wherein the first cooking container and the second cooking container each form a continuous outer surface with the housing when the first and second cooking containers are inserted into the respective first and second internal compartments.
3 . The cooking system of claim 1 , wherein the first internal compartment and the second internal compartment are similarly sized.
4 . The cooking system of claim 1 , wherein the first fan is stacked vertically relative to the first heater within the housing and the second fan is stacked vertically relative to the second heater within the housing.
5 . The cooking system of claim 1 , wherein the first fan includes a first inlet, a second inlet, and an outlet, the first inlet and the second inlet being arranged in fluid communication with the outlet.
6 . The cooking system of claim 1 , wherein the first fan has a first axially oriented inlet and a first radially oriented outlet and the second fan has a second axially oriented inlet and a second radially oriented outlet.
7 . The cooking system of claim 1 , wherein the first cooking container includes a first handle and the second cooking container includes a second handle.
8 . The cooking system of claim 1 , further comprising a motor operably coupled to the first fan and the second fan.
9 . The cooking system of claim 8 , wherein the motor is located external to the first internal compartment and the second internal compartment.
10 . The cooking system of claim 8 , wherein the motor is positioned between the first internal compartment and the second internal compartment.
11 . A cooking system, comprising:
a housing having a first internal cooking compartment and a second internal cooking compartment, the first internal cooking compartment including a first heating assembly comprising a first fan and a first heater, and the second internal cooking compartment including a second heating assembly comprising a second fan and a second heater, the first and second internal cooking compartments being thermally and fluidly separated;
a first cooking container removably disposed within the first internal cooking compartment and a second cooking container removably disposed within the second internal cooking compartment, the first and second heating assemblies being independently operable to independently cook food contained within the respective first and second cooking containers;
a user interface including a first input and a second input, the first input being operably coupled to the first heating assembly and configured to receive a first time associated with operation of the first heating assembly, and the second input being operably coupled to the second heating assembly and configured to receive a second time associated with operation of the second heating assembly; and
a control system configured to perform cooking operations associated with both the first internal compartment and the second internal compartment via operation of both the first and second heaters and the first and second fans.
12 . The cooking system of claim 11 , wherein the first cooking container includes a first external handle attached thereto and the second cooking container includes a second external handle attached thereto.
13 . The cooking system of claim 11 , wherein the first internal cooking compartment and the second internal cooking compartment are similarly sized.
14 . The cooking system of claim 11 , wherein the first internal cooking compartment and the second internal cooking compartment are independently operable to cook food using at least one of conduction, convection, radiation, and induction.
15 . The cooking system of claim 11 , further comprising a motor operably coupled to the first and second fans, the motor configured to operate the first and second fans at a same speed or at different speeds.
16 . The cooking system of claim 15 , wherein the motor is positioned between the first internal compartment and the second internal compartment.
17 . A cooking system comprising: a housing having a first internal compartment and a second internal compartment, the first internal compartment including a first heating assembly comprising a first fan and a first heater, and the second internal compartment including a second heating assembly comprising a second fan and a second heater;
a user interface including a first input and a second input, the first input being operably coupled to the first heating assembly and configured to receive a first time associated with operation of the first heating assembly, and the second input being operably coupled to the second heating assembly and configured to receive a second time associated with operation of the second heating assembly; and
a control system configured to perform cooking operations associated with both the first internal compartment and the second internal compartment via operation of both the first and second heaters and the first and second fans.
18 . The cooking system of claim 17 , wherein the first and second heating assemblies are independently operable.
19 . The cooking system of claim 17 , wherein the first input corresponds to a selection of a mode of operation of the first heating assembly, and wherein the second input corresponds to a selection of a mode of operation of the second heating assembly.
20 . The cooking system of claim 17 , wherein the first input corresponds to a cook time of the first heating assembly and the second input corresponds to a cook time of the second heating assembly, and wherein the first heating assembly and the second heating assembly are respectively operable in a manual mode of operation upon actuation of the first and second inputs.
21 . The cooking system of claim 17 , further comprising a first cooking container removably disposed within the first internal compartment and a second cooking container removably disposed within the second internal compartment.
