Methods and devices for aesthetic treatment of biological structures by radiofrequency and magnetic energy
A device for providing a magnetic treatment by evoking muscle contraction by a time-varying magnetic field and providing a RF treatment by heating biological structure. The device may provide a pressure treatment. The device includes an applicator having an RF electrode and a magnetic field generating device. The device may also include a main unit, a human machine interface, and a control unit. The control unit adjusts a signal provided to the RF electrode and creates an RF circuit, and also adjusts the signal provided to the magnetic field generating device and creates a magnetic circuit electrically insulated from the RF circuit. The RF circuit may include a power source and a power amplifier, and the magnetic circuit may include an energy storage to supply the magnetic field generating device with electric current.
1 . An applicator comprising:
a magnetic field generating device configured to generate a time-varying magnetic field having a magnetic flux density in a range of 0.1 Tesla to 7 Tesla and having a repetition rate in a range of 0.1 Hz to 700 Hz;
an applicator valve configured to control flow of a pressurized fluid;
a pressure outlet configured to provide the pressurized fluid, wherein the pressurized fluid provides a positive pressure to a body area of a patient; and
a heater configured to heat the pressurized fluid,
wherein the magnetic field generating device is positioned within the applicator, and
wherein the time-varying magnetic field is configured to cause a muscle stimulation of the pelvic floor.
2 . The applicator of claim 1 , wherein the pressure outlet is positioned in a center of the applicator.
3 . The applicator of claim 1 , wherein the applicator valve is configured to open and close to generate pressure impulses as part of the positive pressure in order to generate different envelopes of the positive pressure.
4 . The applicator of claim 1 , further comprising a valve control unit configured to control a duration of opening of the applicator valve, and wherein the time-varying magnetic field is configured to cause a muscle contraction in the pelvic floor.
5 . The applicator of claim 1 , further comprising a valve control unit configured to control a speed of opening of the applicator valve.
6 . The applicator of claim 1 , further comprising a valve control unit configured to control the opening and closing of the applicator valve.
7 . The applicator of claim 1 , wherein the heater is configured to heat the pressurized fluid to a temperature in a range of 1° C. to 50° C. above an ambient temperature of 20° C.
8 . The applicator of claim 1 , wherein the pressure outlet is positioned on the applicator.
9 . The applicator of claim 8 , wherein the pressure outlet comprises a plastic tube.
10 . An applicator comprising:
a magnetic field generating device configured to generate a time-varying magnetic field having a magnetic flux density in a range of 0.1 Tesla to 7 Tesla and having a repetition rate in a range of 0.1 Hz to 700 Hz, wherein the magnetic field generating device is positioned within the applicator;
an applicator valve configured to control flow of a pressurized fluid;
a pressure outlet configured to provide the pressurized fluid, wherein the pressurized fluid provides a positive pressure to a patient's body area comprising a perineum of the patient; and
a positioning assembly comprising a rail,
wherein the positioning assembly is positioned within the applicator, and
wherein the positioning assembly is configured to provide movement of the magnetic field generating device within the applicator.
11 . The applicator of claim 10 , further comprising a valve control unit configured to control the applicator valve to control a delivery of the pressurized fluid.
12 . The applicator of claim 11 , wherein the pressure outlet comprises a tapering section that tapers toward a bottom cover of the applicator.
13 . The applicator of claim 11 , wherein the pressure outlet comprises an expansion section that widens toward a bottom cover of the applicator.
14 . The applicator of claim 10 , wherein the positioning assembly is configured to move the magnetic field generating device below the patient's body area.
15 . The applicator of claim 10 , wherein the magnetic field generating device is configured to generate the time-varying magnetic field within a treatment session, and wherein the pressure outlet is configured to provide the positive pressure within the treatment session.
16 . An applicator comprising:
a magnetic field generating device configured to generate a time-varying magnetic field having a magnetic flux density in a range of 0.1 Tesla to 7 Tesla and having a repetition rate in a range of 0.1 Hz to 700 Hz, wherein the magnetic field generating device is positioned within the applicator;
an applicator valve configured to control flow of a pressurized fluid;
a pressure outlet configured to provide the pressurized fluid, wherein the pressurized fluid provides a positive pressure to a patient's body area comprising a perineum; and
a positioning assembly comprising a motor,
wherein the positioning assembly is positioned within the applicator, and
wherein the positioning assembly is configured to move the magnetic field generating device below the patient's body area.
17 . The applicator of claim 16 , wherein the positioning assembly further comprises a rail comprising a polymer.
18 . The applicator of claim 17 , wherein the magnetic field generating device comprises a litz-wire with insulated wires.
19 . The applicator of claim 16 , wherein the time-varying magnetic field is configured to cause muscle contraction in the patient's body area.
20 . The applicator of claim 19 , wherein the magnetic field generating device is coupled to a frame configured to eliminate vibrations during the generation of the time-varying magnetic field.
21 . The applicator of claim 16 , wherein the positioning assembly is configured to provide movement of the magnetic field generating device within the applicator.
22 . The applicator of claim 16 , wherein the pressure outlet is positioned in a center of the magnetic field generating device.
23 . The applicator of claim 16 , wherein the time-varying magnetic field is configured to cause contraction in a first region of the patient's body area, and
wherein the pressure outlet is configured to provide the pressurized fluid to a second region of the patient's body area that is different than the first region.
24 . An applicator comprising:
a magnetic field generating device configured to generate a time-varying magnetic field having a magnetic flux density in a range of 0.1 Tesla to 7 Tesla and having a repetition rate in a range of 0.1 Hz to 700 Hz, wherein the time-varying magnetic field is configured to stimulate a patient's pelvic floor;
an applicator valve configured to control flow of a pressurized fluid;
a pressure outlet configured to provide the pressurized fluid, wherein the pressurized fluid provides a positive pressure to a body area of the patient; and
a heater configured to heat the pressurized fluid;
wherein the heater is configured to heat the pressurized fluid to a temperature in a range of 1° C. to 50° C. above an ambient temperature of 20° C.
25 . The applicator of claim 24 , further comprising a bulge configured to support the patient.
26 . The applicator of claim 25 , wherein the bulge comprises the pressure outlet, and wherein the pressure outlet comprises a plastic tube.
27 . The applicator of claim 24 , wherein the pressure outlet is positioned in a center of the magnetic field generating device.
28 . The applicator of claim 24 , wherein the time-varying magnetic field is configured to cause a muscle contraction in the body area of the patient.
29 . The applicator of claim 24 , wherein the magnetic field generating device is configured to generate the time-varying magnetic field at a first time, and wherein the pressure outlet is configured to provide the positive pressure at the same time.
30 . The applicator of claim 24 , wherein the magnetic field generating device is configured to generate the time-varying magnetic field at a first time, and wherein the pressure outlet is configured to provide the positive pressure at a second time that is different from the first time.
