Multifunctional adjustable vibrating end-tufted device for a systematic individual and professional oral hygiene according to the concept of temperature equilibrium
Proposed are a multifunctional adjustable vibrating device for individual and professional oral care, cleaning or polishing of surfaces of teeth, composite restorations, and removable and nonremovable dental structures, and a method for cleaning of a surface of teeth, composite restorations, and removable and nonremovable dental structures using said device according to the concept of temperature equilibrium by M. L. Melikyan, aimed at improving the effectiveness of oral care. The proposed device comprises a handle having a driving mechanism and a replaceable nozzle attached to the handle and having a fixing part and a working part, the replaceable nozzle is configured to adjust the degree of impact of bristles on the surface of teeth, composite restorations, or dental structures, depending on the pressing force on the replaceable nozzle.
1 . A method for cleaning of surfaces of teeth, composite restorations, and removable and non-removable dental structures using a multifunctional adjustable vibrating end-tufted device for individual and professional oral care, cleaning and polishing of teeth, composite restorations, and removable and non-removable dental structures according to the concept of temperature equilibrium, the device comprising:
a handle having a driving mechanism, and
a replaceable nozzle attached to the handle that has a fixing part and a working part,
wherein the working part of the replaceable nozzle comprises bristles and is fixed in an opening of the fixing part to form an end-tuft, and a front edge of the fixing part has a curvilinear shape on the side of the opening of the fixing part,
the replaceable nozzle is configured to adjust a degree of impact of the bristles to a surface of teeth, composite restorations or dental structures, which is to be cared, cleaned or polished depending on a pressing force applied to the replaceable nozzle, and
the handle is configured to transmit vibration generated by the driving mechanism to the working part of the replaceable nozzle,
the method including:
heating toothpaste and a replacement nozzle to a common body temperature,
applying the toothpaste to a working part of the replacement nozzle,
placing the working part of the replaceable nozzle on the surface of tooth, composite restoration or dental structure so that a longitudinal axis of the working part of the replaceable nozzle is perpendicular to the surface of tooth, composite restoration or dental structure or close to such position,
pressing the working part of the replaceable nozzle so that side parts of the bristles at least partially or completely contact the surface of the tooth, composite restoration, or dental structure,
actuating the driving mechanism to generate vibration of the working part of the replaceable nozzle,
holding the working part of the replaceable nozzle substantially stationary against the tooth, composite restoration, or dental structure within its surface boundaries or moving the working part of the replaceable nozzle along the vertical axis of the tooth, composite restoration or dental structure within its surface boundaries, and
rinsing the mouth with a liquid heated to the body temperature.
2 . The method according to claim 1 , wherein the degree of impact of the bristles to the surface of tooth, composite restoration, or dental structure is controlled by the pressing force on the replaceable nozzle.
3 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the working part takes a concave shape when the replaceable nozzle is pressed.
