Weightlifting rack assembly and wall mount bracket for a weightlifting rack assembly
A weightlifting assembly includes a wall mount bracket configured for mounting to a wall surface and a weightlifting rack assembly connected to the wall mount bracket. The weightlifting rack assembly may have various configurations, including a foldable weight rack assembly, a pull-up bar, a fixed weightlifting rack, a wall-mount weightlifting rack, or various other configurations. The wall mount bracket may be elongated along a lateral width thereof and may have a first mounting region and a second mounting region spaced from each other along the lateral width of the wall mount bracket. The wall mount bracket may also include a central panel that is spaced from the wall surface to provide clearance for fasteners for connection to the weightlifting rack assembly, and in some embodiments, the weightlifting rack assembly may be connected to multiple wall mount panels.
1 . A weightlifting assembly, comprising:
a wall mount bracket configured for mounting to a wall surface, the wall mount bracket comprising:
a central panel having an inner surface configured to face the wall surface and an outer surface opposite the inner surface, the central panel having a first mounting region and a second mounting region spaced from each other along the central panel;
a top wall mount panel located above the central panel and configured to overlie the wall surface;
a bottom wall mount panel located below the central panel and configured to overlie the wall surface, wherein the central panel is offset from the top and bottom wall mount panels in a first direction perpendicular to the outer surface of the central panel, wherein the top wall mount panel has an upper slot that is elongated along a length of the top wall mount panel, and the upper slot is configured to receive an upper wall mount fastener therethrough to couple the wall mount bracket to the wall surface, and wherein the bottom wall mount panel has a lower slot that is elongated along a length of the bottom wall mount panel, and the lower slot is configured to receive a lower wall mount fastener therethrough to couple the wall mount bracket to the wall surface; and
offset panels respectively extending between the central panel and the top wall mount panel and between the central panel and the bottom wall mount panel, the offset panels being respectively angled to each of the central panel and the top and bottom wall mount panels; and
a fixed weightlifting rack assembly connected to the wall mount bracket, the fixed weightlifting rack assembly comprising:
a first side rack assembly comprising a first side mount bracket connected to the central panel of the wall mount bracket at the first mounting region by a first fastener, a first beam and a third beam each having a proximal end connected to the first side mount bracket and extending outward from the first side mount bracket in the first direction, wherein the third beam is located below the first beam and extends parallel to the first beam, and a first vertical frame member connected to distal ends of the first beam and the third beam and configured to engage a ground surface, wherein the first vertical frame member is spaced outwardly from the wall mount bracket;
a second side rack assembly comprising a second side mount bracket connected to the central panel of the wall mount bracket at the second mounting region by a second fastener, a second beam and a fourth beam each having a proximal end connected to the second side mount bracket and extending outward from the second side mount bracket in the first direction, wherein the fourth beam is located below the second beam and extends parallel to the second beam, and a second vertical frame member connected to distal ends of the second beam and the fourth beam and configured to engage the ground surface, wherein the second vertical frame member is spaced outwardly from the wall mount bracket; and
a cross-member connected to the first side rack assembly and the second side rack assembly and extending laterally between the first and second side rack assemblies.

The weightlifting assembly of claim 1 , wherein the first side mount bracket has a first opening and a third opening located below the first opening, and the second side mount bracket has a second opening and a fourth opening below the second opening, wherein the proximal end of the first beam is received in the first opening and is connected to the first side mount bracket, the proximal end of the second beam is received in the second opening and is connected to the second side mount bracket, the proximal end of the third beam is received in the third opening and is connected to the first side mount bracket, and the proximal end of the fourth beam is received in the fourth opening and is connected to the second side mount bracket.

The weightlifting assembly of claim 2 , wherein the first beam, the second beam, the third beam, and the fourth beam all have circular cross-sections, and the first opening, the second opening, the third opening, and the fourth opening all have circular shapes corresponding to the circular cross-sections.

The weightlifting assembly of claim 1 , wherein the first side rack assembly further comprises a first support extending between the first beam and the third beam at a first point between the proximal and distal ends of the first and third beams, and the second side rack assembly further comprises a second support extending between the second beam and the fourth beam at a second point between the proximal and distal ends of the second and fourth beams.
5 . The weightlifting assembly of claim 4 , wherein the first support extends vertically between the first beam and the third beam, and the second support extends vertically between the second beam and the fourth beam.
6 . The weightlifting assembly of claim 1 , wherein no additional supporting structure is connected to and configured to be respectively positioned between the wall surface and each of the first and second vertical frame members.

The weightlifting assembly of claim 1 , wherein the first side mount bracket is vertically elongated and is connected to the wall mount bracket by a plurality of first fasteners, including the first fastener, aligned vertically with each other along the first side mount bracket, and the second side mount bracket is vertically elongated and is connected to the wall mount bracket by a plurality of second fasteners, including the second fastener, aligned vertically with each other along the second side mount bracket.
8 . The weightlifting assembly of claim 1 , wherein the fixed weightlifting rack assembly further comprises additional frame members connected to the first vertical frame member and the second vertical frame member.

The weightlifting assembly of claim 1 , wherein the central panel being offset from the top and bottom wall mount panels in the first direction is configured to create a space between the central panel and the wall surface, and wherein the space is configured to allow for the first fastener to connect the first side mount bracket to the first mounting region and to allow for the second fastener to connect the second side mount bracket to the second mounting region.
10 . A weightlifting assembly, comprising:
a wall mount bracket configured for mounting to a wall surface, the wall mount bracket comprising:
a central panel having an inner surface configured to face the wall surface and an outer surface opposite the inner surface, the central panel having a first mounting region and a second mounting region spaced from each other along the central panel;
a top wall mount panel located above the central panel and configured to overlie the wall surface;
a bottom wall mount panel located below the central panel and configured to overlie the wall surface, wherein the central panel is offset from the top and bottom wall mount panels in a first direction perpendicular to the outer surface of the central panel, wherein the top wall mount panel has an upper slot that is elongated along a length of the top wall mount panel, and the upper slot is configured to receive an upper wall mount fastener therethrough to couple the wall mount bracket to the wall surface, and wherein the bottom wall mount panel has a lower slot that is elongated along a length of the bottom wall mount panel, and the lower slot is configured to receive a lower wall mount fastener therethrough to couple the wall mount bracket to the wall surface; and
offset panels respectively extending between the central panel and the top wall mount panel and between the central panel and the bottom wall mount panel, the offset panels being respectively angled to each of the central panel and the top and bottom wall mount panels; and
a fixed weightlifting rack assembly connected to the wall mount bracket, the fixed weightlifting rack assembly comprising:
a first side rack assembly comprising a first side mount bracket connected to the central panel of the wall mount bracket at the first mounting region by a first fastener, the first side mount bracket having a first opening, a first beam having a proximal end received in the first opening and connected to the first side mount bracket, the first beam extending outward from the first side mount bracket in the first direction, and a first vertical frame member connected to a distal end of the first beam and configured to engage a ground surface, wherein the first vertical frame member is spaced outwardly from the wall mount bracket;
a second side rack assembly comprising a second side mount bracket connected to the central panel of the wall mount bracket at the second mounting region by a second fastener, the second side mount bracket having a second opening, a second beam having a proximal end received in the second opening and connected to the second side mount bracket, the second beam extending outward from the second side mount bracket in the first direction, and a second vertical frame member connected to a distal end of the second beam and configured to engage the ground surface, wherein the second vertical frame member is spaced outwardly from the wall mount bracket; and
a cross-member connected to the first side rack assembly and the second side rack assembly and extending laterally between the first and second side rack assemblies.

The weightlifting assembly of claim 10 , wherein the first side mount bracket further has a third opening, and the second side mount bracket further has a fourth opening, and wherein the first side rack assembly further comprises a third beam having a proximal end received in the third opening and connected to the first side mount bracket, the third beam extending outward from the first side mount bracket in the first direction, wherein the third beam is connected to the first vertical frame member and is located below the first beam, and the second side rack assembly further comprises a fourth beam having a proximal end received in the fourth opening and connected to the second side mount bracket, the fourth beam extending outward from the second side mount bracket in the first direction, wherein the fourth beam is connected to the second vertical frame member and is located below the second beam.
12 . The weightlifting assembly of claim 11 , wherein the third beam extends parallel to the first beam, and the fourth beam extends parallel to the second beam.

The weightlifting assembly of claim 11 , wherein the first beam, the second beam, the third beam, and the fourth beam all have circular cross-sections, and the first opening, the second opening, the third opening, and the fourth opening all have circular shapes corresponding to the circular cross-sections.

The weightlifting assembly of claim 11 , wherein the first side rack assembly further comprises a first support extending between the first beam and the third beam at a first point between the proximal and distal ends of the first and third beams, and the second side rack assembly further comprises a second support extending between the second beam and the fourth beam at a second point between the proximal and distal ends of the second and fourth beams.
15 . The weightlifting assembly of claim 14 , wherein the first support extends vertically between the first beam and the third beam, and the second support extends vertically between the second beam and the fourth beam.
16 . The weightlifting assembly of claim 10 , wherein no additional supporting structure is connected to and configured to be respectively positioned between the wall surface and each of the first and second vertical frame members.
17 . The weightlifting assembly of claim 10 , wherein the first side mount bracket is vertically elongated and is connected to the wall mount bracket by a plurality of first fasteners, including the first fastener, aligned vertically with each other along the first side mount bracket, and the second side mount bracket is vertically elongated and is connected to the wall mount bracket by a plurality of second fasteners, including the second fastener, aligned vertically with each other along the second side mount bracket.
18 . The weightlifting assembly of claim 10 , wherein the fixed weightlifting rack assembly further comprises additional frame members connected to the first vertical frame member and the second vertical frame member.

The weightlifting assembly of claim 10 , wherein the central panel being offset from the top and bottom wall mount panels in the first direction is configured to create a space between the central panel and the wall surface, and wherein the space is configured to allow for the first fastener to connect the first side mount bracket to the first mounting region and to allow for the second fastener to connect the second side mount bracket to the second mounting region.
