Plastic liner for covering a lift basket

1 . A plastic liner that is configured for use on an aerial lift basket to protect the aerial lift basket from paint and drywall overspray and to be removably connected to the aerial lift basket; said plastic liner is configured to cover an interior of the aerial lift basket and to cover outer sides of the aerial lift basket when said plastic liner is connected to the aerial lift basket; said plastic liner comprising:

a floor cover formed of plastic sheeting that is configured to cover a top surface of a platform floor on the aerial lift basket; said floor cover having an outer peripheral edge portion;

a first inside cover and a first outside cover formed of plastic sheeting; said first inside cover including a bottom edge portion; said first outside cover including a bottom edge portion; said bottom edge portion of said first inside cover connected to said outer peripheral edge portion of said floor cover; said first inside cover is configured to cover an inside of a first side frame on the aerial lift basket; said first outside cover is configured to cover an outside of the first side frame on the aerial lift basket; said bottom edge portion of said first outside cover including a releasable connection arrangement is configured to releasably connect said bottom edge portion of said first outside cover to a bottom portion of the aerial lift basket when said plastic liner is connected to the aerial lift basket;

a second inside cover and a second outside cover formed of plastic sheeting; said second inside cover including a bottom edge portion; said second outside cover including a bottom edge portion; said bottom edge portion of said second inside cover connected to said outer peripheral edge portion of said floor cover; said second inside cover is configured to cover an inside of a second side frame on the aerial lift basket; said second outside cover is configured to cover an outside of the second side frame on the aerial lift basket; said bottom edge portion of said second outside cover including a releasable connection arrangement is configured to releasably connect said bottom edge portion of said second outside cover to a bottom portion of the aerial lift basket when said plastic liner is connected to the aerial lift basket;

a front inside cover and a front outside cover formed of plastic sheeting; said front inside cover including a bottom edge portion; said front outside cover including a bottom edge portion;

said bottom edge portion of said front inside cover connected to said outer peripheral edge portion of said floor cover; said front outside cover is configured to cover an outside of the front side frame on the aerial lift basket; said front inside cover connected to said first inside cover and said second inside cover; said front outside cover connected to said first outside cover and said second outside cover; said bottom edge portion of said front outside cover including a releasable connection arrangement is configured to releasably connect said bottom edge portion of said front outside cover to a bottom portion of the aerial lift basket when said plastic liner is connected to the aerial lift basket; and,

an entrance door inside cover and an entrance door outside cover formed of plastic sheeting; said entrance door inside cover including a bottom edge portion; said entrance door outside cover including a bottom edge portion; said entrance door inside cover is configured to cover at least a portion of an inside of an entrance door on the aerial lift basket; said entrance door outside cover is configured to cover at least a portion an outside of said entrance door on the aerial lift basket; said entrance door inside cover and an entrance door outside cover are separate components from said floor cover, said first inside cover and said first outside cover, said second inside cover and said second outside cover, and said front inside cover and said front outside cover; said entrance door inside cover includes first and second inside door connection arrangements; said first and second inside door connection arrangements are spaced from one another; said entrance door outside cover includes first and second outside door connection arrangements; said first inside door connection arrangement is configured to releasably connect to said first outside door connection arrangement when said entrance door inside cover and an entrance door outside cover are releasably connected to said entrance door; said second inside door connection arrangement is configured to releasably connect to said second outside door connection arrangement when said entrance door inside cover and said entrance door outside cover are releasably connected to said entrance door.

2 . The plastic liner as define in claim 1 , wherein said first and second inside door connection arrangements said first and second inside door connection arrangements and said first and second outside door connection arrangements are the same type of connection arrangements.

3 . The plastic liner as define in claim 1 , wherein said first and second inside door connection arrangements said first and second inside door connection arrangements are different from said releasable connection arrangement on said bottom edge portion of said first outside cover, said bottom edge portion of said second outside cover, and said bottom edge portion of said front outside cover.

The plastic liner as define in claim 2 , wherein said first and second inside door connection arrangements said first and second inside door connection arrangements are different from said releasable connection arrangement on said bottom edge portion of said first outside cover, said bottom edge portion of said second outside cover, and said bottom edge portion of said front outside cover.

5 . The plastic liner as define in claim 1 , wherein said first and second inside door connection arrangements said first and second inside door connection arrangements include a hook and loop fastener connection.

6 . The plastic liner as define in claim 4 , wherein said first and second inside door connection arrangements said first and second inside door connection arrangements include a hook and loop fastener connection.

7 . The plastic liner as define in claim 1 , wherein said releasable connection arrangement on bottom edge portion of said first outside cover, said bottom edge portion of said second outside cover, and said bottom edge portion of said front outside cover includes a bungee cord connection arrangement.

8 . The plastic liner as define in claim 6 , wherein said releasable connection arrangement on bottom edge portion of said first outside cover, said bottom edge portion of said second outside cover, and said bottom edge portion of said front outside cover includes a bungee cord connection arrangement.

9 . A method for protecting an aerial lift basket arrangement from paint and drywall overspray comprising:

providing an aerial lift basket; said aerial lift basket includes a platform floor, a first side frame, a second side frame, a front frame, and a hinged entrance door frame;

providing a removable plastic liner is configured for use on said aerial lift basket to protect said aerial lift basket from paint and drywall overspray; said plastic liner comprising:

a floor cover formed of plastic sheeting that is configured to cover a top surface of said platform floor on said aerial lift basket; said floor cover having an outer peripheral edge portion;

a first inside cover and a first outside cover formed of plastic sheeting; said first inside cover including a bottom edge portion; said first outside cover including a bottom edge portion; said bottom edge portion of said first inside cover connected to said outer peripheral edge portion of said floor cover; said first inside cover is configured to cover an inside of said first side frame on said aerial lift basket; said first outside cover is configured to cover an outside of said first side frame on said aerial lift basket; said bottom edge portion of said first outside cover including a releasable connection arrangement is configured to releasably connect said bottom edge portion of said first outside cover to a bottom portion of said aerial lift basket when said plastic liner is connected to said aerial lift basket;

a second inside cover and a second outside cover formed of plastic sheeting; said second inside cover including a bottom edge portion; said second outside cover including a bottom edge portion; said bottom edge portion of said second inside cover connected to said outer peripheral edge portion of said floor cover; said second inside cover is configured to cover an inside of said second side frame on said aerial lift basket; said second outside cover is configured to cover an outside of said second side frame on said aerial lift basket; said bottom edge portion of said second outside cover including a releasable connection arrangement is configured to releasably connect said bottom edge portion of said second outside cover to a bottom portion of said aerial lift basket when said plastic liner is connected to said aerial lift basket;

a front inside cover and a front outside cover formed of plastic sheeting; said front inside cover including a bottom edge portion; said front outside cover including a bottom edge portion; said bottom edge portion of said front inside cover connected to said outer peripheral edge portion of said floor cover; said front outside cover is configured to cover an outside of said front frame on the aerial lift basket; said front inside cover connected to said first inside cover and said second inside cover; said front outside cover connected to said first outside cover and said second outside cover; said bottom edge portion of said front outside cover including a releasable connection arrangement is configured to releasably connect said bottom edge portion of said front outside cover to a bottom portion of said aerial lift basket when said plastic liner is connected to said aerial lift basket; and,

an entrance door inside cover and an entrance door outside cover formed of plastic sheeting; said entrance door inside cover including a bottom edge portion; said entrance door outside cover including a bottom edge portion; said entrance door inside cover is configured to cover at least a portion of an inside of said entrance door frame on said aerial lift basket; said entrance door outside cover is configured to cover at least a portion an outside of said entrance door frame on said aerial lift basket; said entrance door inside cover and an entrance door outside cover are separate components from said floor cover, said first inside cover and said first outside cover, said second inside cover and said second outside cover, and said front inside cover and said front outside cover; said entrance door inside cover includes first and second inside door connection arrangements; said first and second inside door connection arrangements are spaced from one another; said entrance door outside cover includes first and second outside door connection arrangements; said first inside door connection arrangement is configured to releasably connect to said first outside door connection arrangement when said entrance door inside cover and an entrance door outside cover are releasably connected to said entrance door frame; said second inside door connection arrangement is configured to releasably connect to said second outside door connection arrangement when said entrance door inside cover and said entrance door outside cover are releasably connected to said entrance door; and,

covering said aerial lift basket with said plastic liner.

10 . A plastic liner that is configured for use on an aerial lift basket to at least partially protect the aerial lift basket from paint and drywall overspray and to be removably connected to the aerial lift basket; said plastic liner is configured to at least partially cover an interior of the aerial lift basket and to at least partially cover outer sides of the aerial lift basket when said plastic liner is connected to the aerial lift basket; said plastic liner comprising:

a floor cover formed of plastic sheeting that is configured to at least partially cover a top surface of a platform floor on the aerial lift basket; said floor cover having an outer peripheral edge portion;

a first side cover that is configured to at least partially cover an inside and outside surface of a first side frame of the aerial lift basket; said first side cover is formed of plastic sheeting; said first side cover includes first and second bottom edge portions; at least a portion of said first bottom edge portion of said first side cover is configured to connect to said outer peripheral edge portion of said floor cover; at least a portion of said second bottom edge portion of said first side cover includes a releasable connection arrangement that is configured to releasably connect to a bottom portion of the aerial lift basket when said plastic liner is connected to the aerial lift basket;

a second side cover that is configured to at least partially cover an inside and outside surface of a second side frame of the aerial lift basket; said second side cover is formed of plastic sheeting;

said second side cover includes first and second bottom edge portions; at least a portion of said first bottom edge portion of said second side cover is configured to connect to said outer peripheral edge portion of said floor cover; at least a portion of said second bottom edge portion of said second side cover includes a releasable connection arrangement that is configured to releasably connect to a bottom portion of the aerial lift basket when said plastic liner is connected to the aerial lift basket; and,

an entrance door cover that is configured to at least partially cover an inside and outside surface of an entrance door on the aerial lift basket; said entrance door cover is formed of plastic sheeting; said entrance door cover includes first and second bottom edge portions; said entrance door cover is a separate component from said floor cover, said first side cover and said second side cover; said entrance door cover includes first and second door connection arrangements; said first and second door connection arrangements are spaced from one another; said first door connection arrangement is configured to releasably connect to said second door connection arrangement when said entrance door cover is releasably connected to the entrance door on the aerial lift basket.

The plastic liner as define in claim 10 , further including a front side cover; said front side cover is configured to at least partially cover an inside and outside surface of a front side frame of the aerial lift basket; said front side cover formed of plastic sheeting; said front side cover includes first and second bottom edge portions; at least a portion of said first bottom edge portion of said front side cover is configured to connect to said outer peripheral edge portion of said floor cover; at least a portion of said second bottom edge portion of said front side cover includes a releasable connection arrangement that is configured to releasably connect to a bottom portion of the aerial lift basket when said plastic liner is connected to the aerial lift basket.

12 . The plastic liner as define in claim 10 , wherein said first and second door connection arrangements are a hook and loop fastener type connection.

13 . The plastic liner as define in claim 11 , wherein said first and second door connection arrangements are a hook and loop fastener type connection.

14 . The plastic liner as define in claim 10 , wherein said entrance door cover includes third and fourth door connection arrangements; said third and fourth door connection arrangements are spaced from said first and second door connection arrangements; said third and fourth connection arrangements are spaced from one another; said third door connection arrangement is configured to releasably connect to said fourth door connection arrangement when said entrance door cover is releasably connected to the entrance door on the aerial lift basket.

The plastic liner as define in claim 13 , wherein said entrance door cover includes third and fourth door connection arrangements; said third and fourth door connection arrangements are spaced from said first and second door connection arrangements; said third and fourth connection arrangements are spaced from one another; said third door connection arrangement is configured to releasably connect to said fourth door connection arrangement when said entrance door cover is releasably connected to the entrance door on the aerial lift basket.

16 . The plastic liner as define in claim 10 , wherein said first and second door connection arrangements are different from said releasable connection arrangement on said bottom edge portion of said first side cover and said bottom edge portion of said second side cover.

17 . The plastic liner as define in claim 15 , wherein said first, second, third and fourth door connection arrangements are different from said releasable connection arrangement on said bottom edge portion of said first side cover, said bottom edge portion of said second side cover, and said bottom edge portion of said front side cover.

18 . The plastic liner as define in claim 10 , wherein said releasable connection arrangement on bottom edge portion of said first side cover and said bottom edge portion of said second side cover includes a bungee cord connection arrangement.

19 . The plastic liner as define in claim 17 , wherein said releasable connection arrangement on bottom edge portion of said first side cover, said bottom edge portion of said second side cover, and said bottom edge portion of said front side cover includes a bungee cord connection arrangement.

20 . A protective liner that is configured for use on a lift basket to overlies one or more portions of the lift basket and to be removably connected to the lift basket;

the lift basket includes a first and second side frame, an entrance door that is positioned between the first ends of the first and second side frames, a rear frame that is connected between the second ends of the first and second side frames, and a floor that is connected to bottom portions of the first and second side frames and the rear frame; said protective liner is configured to at least partially overlie an interior and an exterior of the lift basket when said protective liner is releasably connected to the lift basket; said protective liner is formed of a flexible material; said protective liner comprises:

a first side cover that is configured to at least partially cover an outside surface of the first side frame of the lift basket; said first side cover is formed of a flexible material; said first side cover includes a first bottom edge portion; at least a portion of said first bottom edge portion of said first side cover includes a releasable connection arrangement that is configured to releasably connect to a bottom portion of the lift basket when said protective liner is releaseably connected to the lift basket; said first side cover includes a plurality of first side connectors that are configured to releasably connect said first side cover to the first side frame; said plurality of first side connectors include one or more connectors selected from the group consisting of one or more strips of hook and loop fasteners, zipper, adhesive, snap and magnet;

a second side cover that is configured to at least partially cover an outside surface of the second side frame of the lift basket; said second side cover is formed of a flexible material; said second side cover includes a first bottom edge portion; at least a portion of said first bottom edge portion of said second side cover includes a releasable connection arrangement that is configured to releasably connect to a bottom portion of the lift basket when said protective liner is releasably connected to the lift basket; said second side cover includes a plurality of first side connectors that are configured to releasably connect said second side cover to the second side frame; said plurality of second side connectors include one or more connectors selected from the group consisting of one or more strips of hook and loop fasteners, zipper, adhesive, snap and magnet;

a third side cover that is configured to at least partially cover an outside surface of the rear frame of the lift basket; said third side cover is formed of a flexible material; said third side cover includes a first bottom edge portion; at least a portion of said first bottom edge portion of said third side cover includes a releasable connection arrangement that is configured to releasably connect to a bottom portion of the lift basket when said protective liner is releasably connected to the lift basket; said rear cover includes a plurality of rear connectors that are configured to releasably connect said rear cover to the rear frame; said plurality of rear connectors include one or more connectors selected from the group consisting of one or more strips of hook and loop fasteners, zipper, adhesive, snap and magnet; and,

an entrance door cover that is configured to at least partially cover an outside surface of the entrance door on the lift basket; said entrance door cover is formed of a flexible material; said entrance door cover includes a first bottom edge portion; said entrance door cover includes a first door connection arrangement; said first door connection arrangement is configured to releasably connect to said entrance door cover to the entrance door on the lift basket.

21 . The protective liner as defined in claim 20 , wherein said first side cover, said second side cover and said rear cover are formed of a single piece of material;

said entrance door cover is a separate component from said first side cover, said second side cover, and said rear cover.

22 . The protective liner as defined in claim 20 , further including a floor cover; said floor cover is formed of a flexible material; said floor cover is configured to at least partially cover a top surface of the floor on the lift basket; said floor cover has an outer peripheral edge portion that is connected to said first side cover, said second side cover, and said rear cover.

23 . The plastic liner as define in claim 20 , wherein said releasable connection arrangement on said first bottom edge portion of said first side cover, said second side cover, and said rear cover includes a bungee cord connection arrangement.
