Abstract

Systems and methods for organizing status-based tasks in tablature are disclosed. A system may include at least one processor configured to maintain a plurality of task tables for a plurality of entities, wherein each task table of the plurality of task tables contains a plurality of tasks, each task being defined by a row of cells. The processor may configure a cell associated with each task in each task table to maintain a status value, and may output a signal to display an aggregate table consolidating, from the plurality of task tables of the plurality of entities, a list of tasks that share a common status value.

Claims (76)

1 . A system for electronic consolidation of status-based tasks in tablature, the system comprising:

at least one processor configured to:

maintain a plurality of task tables for a plurality of entities, wherein each task table of the plurality of task tables contains a plurality of tasks, each task being defined by a row of cells;

maintain in each of the plurality of task tables, at least one column for containing status values;

provide a cell associated with each task in the at least one column of each task table to maintain at least one of the status values;

generate an output signal to consolidate at least two tasks from the plurality of tasks, the at least two tasks being expressed differently in differing task tables yet having common status values based on common meaning;

in response to the output signal, pull data from the at least two tasks to enable formation of an interactive aggregate table;

output a display signal to a client-side user device over a network, the display signal for causing the client-side user device to dynamically present:

the interactive aggregate table consolidating, from the plurality of task tables of the plurality of entities, a list of tasks that share the common status values and associated status values; and

summary information of the interactive aggregate table via at least one graphical representation;

upon receipt of a user modification to a specific status value in the interactive aggregate table, update the display signal to cause a removal or an addition of a row in the interactive aggregate table presented on the client-side user device, the row in the presented interactive aggregate table corresponding to a task having the user modified specific status value;

automatically modify a specific cell in at least one of the plurality of task tables based on the user modified specific status value, wherein particular cells of the aggregate table are mirrored across corresponding cells that appear in the plurality of task tables to enable a change in data in the particular cells to cause a data change in real or near real time in the corresponding cells; and

upon receipt of a user input, display an updated version of the interactive aggregate table and updated summary information of the interactive aggregate table, the user input including:

a first user selection of a selectable element for causing a floating graphical user interface (GUI) to overlay the summary information, wherein the floating GUI is a filter that includes a plurality of buttons each representing a feature or a characteristic in the interactive aggregate table; and

a second user selection of one or more buttons of the plurality of buttons for causing the interactive aggregate table and the summary information of the interactive aggregate table to update based on the feature or the characteristic represented by each of the one or more buttons.

The system of claim 1 , wherein the at least one processor is further configured to receive, from the user interface of the client-side user device over the network, a selection of a subset of the plurality of task tables of the plurality of entities for consolidation in the interactive aggregate table.

The system of claim 2 , wherein the display signal is configured to cause the client-side user device to render in the interactive aggregate table at least one interactive cell in the row of cells associated with at least one task, wherein the client-side user device is a first client-side user device, and wherein the at least one processor is configured to receive, from the user interface of the client-side user device over the network, an activation of the at least one interactive cell and to initiate a contact over the network with an entity associated with the at least one task via a second client-side user device.

4 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the status values indicate that an associated task is stuck, and wherein the display signal is configured to cause the client-side user device to render an interactive aggregate table that presents stuck tasks across the task tables of the plurality of entities.

The system of claim 1 , wherein the client-side user device is a first client-side user device, and wherein the at least one processor is further configured to transmit a single communication to an entity associated with the common status values via a second client-side user device, the single communication reflecting the common status values for multiple tasks.

6 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the client-side user device is a first client-side user device, and wherein the at least one processor is configured to:

detect when a status value for a particular task is empty; and

send a notification of the empty status value to an associated entity over the network via a second client-side user device.

7 . The system of claim 6 , wherein the associated entity is responsible for the task and is granted write permission to edit the status value for the particular task.

8 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the at least one processor is configured to record the update of the display signal in an activity log.

The system of claim 1 , wherein the output signal is configured to use push communications to cause the interactive aggregate table to display summary information for every common status value consolidated from the plurality of task tables via additional user interfaces associated with additional client-side user devices.

10 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the at least one processor is configured to generate the output signal to cause similar status columns to be consolidated as a common status value in the interactive aggregate table.

The system of claim 1 , wherein the common status values are determined by analyzing both alphanumeric data and graphical representations associated with each of the cells maintaining the at least one of the status values, and wherein the analyzing includes determining specific alphanumeric data or specific graphical representations that share a similar meaning.

12 . The system of claim 11 , wherein the similar meaning is determined based on a common element displayed within the cells maintaining the at least one of the status values.

13 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the processor is further configured to:

generate a graphical user interface on the client-side user device, wherein the graphical user interface presents the interactive aggregate table; and

receive, via the graphical user interface, the user modification to the specific status value in the interactive aggregate table, the user modification including a change in the specific status value.

14 . The system of claim 1 , wherein at least two task tables of the plurality of task tables differ from each other in either format or column organization.

15 . The system of claim 14 , wherein the consolidated tasks that share the common status values in the interactive aggregate table share a common format or column organization.

16 . The system of claim 15 , wherein the interactive aggregate table includes only columns from the at least two task tables that share common status values.

17 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the interactive aggregate table is stored on the client-side user device.

18 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the at least one graphical representation depicts overall progress information of the interactive aggregate table.

19 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the at least one graphical representation depicts planned progress versus actual progress extracted from the interactive aggregate table.

20 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the at least one graphical representation depicts over a time duration changes in status extracted from the interactive aggregate table.

21 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the at least two tasks have disparate data formats, and wherein the common meaning is based on semantic equivalence.

22 . A non-transitory computer readable medium containing instructions that when executed by at least one processor, cause the at least one processor to perform operations comprising:

maintaining a plurality of task tables for a plurality of entities, wherein each task table of the plurality of task tables contains a plurality of tasks, each task being defined by a row of cells;

maintaining in each of the plurality of task tables, at least one column for containing status values;

providing a cell associated with each task in the at least one column of each task table to maintain at least one of the status values;

generating an output signal to consolidate at least two tasks from the plurality of tasks, the at least two tasks being expressed differently in differing task tables yet having common status values based on common meaning;

in response to the output signal, pulling the data from the at least two tasks to enable formation of an interactive aggregate table;

outputting a display signal to a client-side user device over a network, the display signal for causing the client-side user device to dynamically present:

the interactive aggregate table consolidating, from the plurality of task tables of the plurality of entities, a list of tasks that share the common status values and associated status values; and

summary information of the interactive aggregate table via at least one graphical representation;

upon receipt of a user modification to a specific status value in the interactive aggregate table, updating the display signal to cause a removal or an addition of a row in the interactive aggregate table presented on the client-side user device, the row in the presented interactive aggregate table corresponding to a task having the user modified specific status value;

automatically modify a specific cell in at least one of the plurality of task tables based on the user modified specific status value, wherein particular cells of the aggregate table are mirrored across corresponding cells that appear in the plurality of task tables to enable a change in data in the particular cells to cause a data change in real or near real time in the corresponding cells; and

upon receipt of a user input, display an updated version of the interactive aggregate table and updated summary information of the interactive aggregate table, the user input including:

a first user selection of a selectable element for causing a floating graphical user interface (GUI) to overlay the summary information, wherein the floating GUI is a filter that includes a plurality of buttons each representing a feature or a characteristic in the interactive aggregate table; and

a second user selection of one or more buttons of the plurality of buttons for causing the interactive table and the summary information of the interactive aggregate table to update based on the feature or the characteristic represented by each of the one or more buttons.

23 . The non-transitory computer readable medium of claim 22 , wherein the operations further include receiving, from the user interface of the client-side user device over the network, a selection of a subset of the plurality of task tables of the plurality of entities for consolidation in the interactive aggregate table.

The non-transitory computer readable medium of claim 23 , wherein the display signal is configured to cause the client-side user device to render in the interactive aggregate table at least one interactive cell in the row of cells associated with at least one task, wherein the client-side user device is a first client-side user device, and wherein the operations further comprise receiving, from the user interface of the client-side user device over the network, an activation of the at least one interactive cell and initiating a contact over the network with an entity associated with the at least one task via a second client-side user device.

The non-transitory computer readable medium of claim 22 , wherein the status values indicate that an associated task is stuck, and wherein the display signal is configured to cause the client-side user device to render an interactive aggregate table that presents stuck tasks across the task tables of the plurality of entities.

The non-transitory computer readable medium of claim 22 , wherein the client-side user device is a first client-side user device, and wherein the operations further comprise transmitting a single communication to an entity associated with the common status values via a second client-side user device, the single communication reflecting the common status values for multiple tasks.

27 . The non-transitory computer readable medium of claim 22 , wherein the client-side user device is a first client-side user device, and wherein the operations further comprise:

detecting when a status value for a particular task is empty; and

sending a notification of the empty status value to an associated entity over the network via a second client-side user device.

The non-transitory computer readable medium of claim 22 , wherein the output signal is configured to use push communications to cause the interactive aggregate table to display summary information for every common status value consolidated from the plurality of task tables via additional user interfaces associated with additional client-side user devices.

29 . A method for electronic consolidation of status-based tasks in tablature, the method comprising:

maintaining a plurality of task tables for a plurality of entities, wherein each task table of the plurality of task tables contains a plurality of tasks, each task being defined by a row of cells;

maintaining in each of the plurality of task tables, at least one column for containing status values;

providing a cell associated with each task in the at least one column of each task table to maintain at least one of the status values;

generating an output signal to consolidate at least two tasks from the plurality of tasks, the at least two tasks being expressed differently in differing task tables and having common status values based on common meaning;

in response to the output signal, pulling the data from the at least two tasks to enable formation of an interactive aggregate table and associated status values;

outputting a display signal to a client-side user device over a network, the display signal for causing the client-side user device to dynamically present:

the interactive aggregate table consolidating, from the plurality of task tables of the plurality of entities, a list of tasks that share the common status values; and

summary information of the interactive aggregate table via at least one graphical representation;

upon receipt of a user modification to a specific status value in the interactive aggregate table, updating the display signal to cause a removal or an addition of a row in the interactive aggregate table presented on the client-side user device, the row in the presented interactive aggregate table corresponding to a task having the user modified specific status value;

automatically modify a specific cell in at least one of the plurality of task tables based on the user modified specific status value, wherein particular cells of the aggregate table are mirrored across corresponding cells that appear in the plurality of task tables to enable a change in data in the particular cells to cause a data change in real or near real time in the corresponding cells; and

upon receipt of a user input, display an updated version of the interactive aggregate table and updated summary information of the interactive aggregate table, the user input including:

a first user selection of a selectable element for causing a floating graphical user interface (GUI) to overlay the summary information, wherein the floating GUI is a filter that includes a plurality of buttons each representing a feature or a characteristic in the interactive aggregate table; and

a second user selection of one or more buttons of the plurality of buttons for causing the interactive table and the summary information of the interactive aggregate table to update based on the feature or the characteristic represented by each of the one or more buttons.

30 . The method of claim 29 , wherein the method further comprises receiving, from the user interface of the client-side user device over the network, a selection of a subset of the plurality of task tables of the plurality of entities for consolidating in the interactive aggregate table.
