Abstract

Systems and methods for generation and use of intellectual-property (IP) analysis platform architectures are disclosed. A scoring component may be utilized to produce scores for IP assets using user seeded searches in varying areas of interest, such as, for example, target technical fields, targeted publications, targeted products, and/or competitor entity portfolios. The scoring component may be further utilized to produce an interactive graphical element including a spatial representation of the scoring of IP assets. The interactive graphical element may include various functionalities and/or information associated with the of IP assets. The scoring component may utilize data from a coverage component, an opportunity component and/or an exposure component to assess a comprehensive score associated with a group of IP assets of a targeted entity.

authenticating a user requesting the GUI;

displaying to the user, based on the user being authenticated, the GUI configured to display at least the alignment metric and one or more actionable items;

sending, via the network protocol over a network to the computing device, the alignment metric;

causing, in response to receipt of the alignment metric, the GUI of the computing device to display, without user input, the alignment metric; and

determining a first percentage of revenue generated by the entity in a market based at least in part on comparing the revenue generated by the entity in the market with a total revenue generated by the entity;

determining a second percentage of intellectual-property assets directed to the one or more technology areas based at least in part on comparing the number of intellectual-property assets directed to the one or more technology areas with a total number of intellectual-property assets associated with the entity, wherein the alignment metric includes a comparison of the first percentage and the second percentage;

generating a graphical user interface (GUI) with associated access controls;

refraining from displaying the GUI based on the access controls being associated with the GUI;

authenticating a user requesting the GUI;

displaying to the user, based on authenticating the user, the GUI configured to display at least the alignment metric and one or more actionable items;

sending, via the network protocol over a network to the computing device, the alignment metric and an indication that the first percentage of revenue generated by the entity in the market is greater than the second percentage of intellectual-property assets directed to the one or more technology areas;

causing, in response to receipt of the alignment metric and the indication, the GUI of the computing device to display, without user input, the alignment metric and the indication; and

causing, in response to receipt of the alignment metric, the GUI of the computing device to display dynamic animation sequences in association with the alignment metric, the dynamic animation sequences causing animation sequences corresponding to asset indicators and alignment indicators displayed via the GUI to be dynamically displayed on-the-fly and in real time.
