Battery pack connector
A battery pack connector may include a plurality of layers stacked on top of each other along a vertical direction, and a plurality of pad portions arranged at corresponding positions in respective ones of the plurality of layers in central portions of the respective layers.
1 . A battery pack connector, comprising:
a plurality of layers stacked on top of each other along a vertical direction; and
a plurality of pad portions in each of the plurality of layers, the plurality of pad portions in each of the plurality of layers being separated and spaced apart from each other, and the plurality of pad portions in each of the plurality of layers being arranged in a central portion of each of the plurality of layers and overlapping pad portions in adjacent ones of the plurality of layers.
2 . The battery pack connector of claim 1 , wherein the plurality of pad portions include first, second, and third pad portions, the first, second, and third pad portions being arranged to define first and second open portions therebetween, respectively, in each of the plurality of layers.
3 . The battery pack connector of claim 2 , further comprising a central terminal portion in the central portion of each of the plurality of layers, the first, second, and third pad portions being arranged on each of opposite sides of the central terminal portion in each of the plurality of layers.
4 . The battery pack connector of claim 2 , wherein the second and third pad portions are respectively arranged on opposite sides of the first pad portion to be spaced apart from each other.
5 . The battery pack connector of claim 4 , wherein the second and third pad portions are symmetrically arranged with respect to the first pad portion.
6 . The battery pack connector of claim 1 , wherein each of the plurality of pad portions overlaps at least another of the plurality of pad portions in an adjacent one of the plurality of layers along the vertical direction.
7 . The battery pack connector of claim 1 , wherein the plurality of pad portions are arranged in pairs in the vertical direction, each of the pairs being positioned in adjacent ones of the plurality of layers, respectively, and each of the pairs vertically overlapping each other.
8 . A battery pack comprising the battery pack connector of claim 1 .
9 . A battery pack connector, comprising:
a plurality of layers stacked on top of each other along a vertical direction; and
a plurality of pad portions in each of the plurality of layers, the plurality of pad portions in each of the plurality of layers being separated and spaced apart from each other, and each of the plurality of pad portions overlapping at least another of the plurality of pad portions in an adjacent one of the plurality of layers along the vertical direction.
10 . The battery pack connector of claim 1 , wherein all the plurality of pad portions in each of the plurality of layers vertically overlap all the plurality of pad portions in the adjacent one of the plurality of layers, respectively.
11 . The battery pack connector of claim 10 , wherein open portions between all the plurality of pad portions in each of the plurality of layers vertically overlap all the open portions between all the plurality of pad portions in the adjacent one of the plurality of layers, respectively.
12 . The battery pack connector of claim 1 , wherein each of the plurality of layers is in direct contact with an adjacent one of the plurality of layer in the vertical direction.
13 . A battery pack, comprising:
a battery cell;
a protection circuit module electrically connected to the battery cell, the protection circuit module including an edge extending laterally out of the battery cell; and
a battery pack connector connected to the edge of the protection circuit module via a flexible circuit board, the battery pack connector including:
a plurality of layers stacked on top of each other along a vertical direction; and
a plurality of pad portions in each of the plurality of layers, the plurality of pad portions in each of the plurality of layers being separated and spaced apart from each other, and the plurality of pad portions in each of the plurality of layers being arranged in a central portion of each of the plurality of layers and overlapping pad portions in adjacent ones of the plurality of layers.
14 . The battery pack of claim 13 , wherein the battery pack connector and the battery cell have a non-overlapping relationship.
