Method and device for performing sounding procedure in wireless LAN system
Disclosed are a method and a device for a sounding procedure related to an aggregated-physical layer protocol data unit (A-PPDU) support in a WLAN system. A method for performing a sounding procedure by a first station (STA) in a wireless LAN system comprises the steps of: receiving at least one null data PPDU (NDP) announcement frame from a second STA on a first frequency unit associated with a first type PPDU format and a second frequency unit associated with a second type PPDU format; receiving at least one NDP from the second STA on the first frequency unit and the second frequency unit; receiving at least one trigger frame from the second STA on the first frequency unit and the second frequency unit; and transmitting a feedback frame for at least one of the first frequency unit and the second frequency unit to the second STA, wherein the at least one NDP may be received from the second STA on the basis of a first type of training sequence and a second type of training sequence.
1 . A method comprising:
receiving, by a first station (STA) from a second STA, at least one null data physical layer protocol data unit (NDP) announcement frame on a first frequency unit associated with a first type PPDU format and a second frequency unit associated with a second type PPDU format, wherein the first frequency unit and the second frequency unit are included in an entire bandwidth;
receiving, by the first STA from the second STA, at least one NDP on the first frequency unit and the second frequency unit;
receiving, by the first STA from the second STA, at least one trigger frame on the first frequency unit and the second frequency unit; and
transmitting, by the first STA to the second STA, a feedback frame for at least one of the first frequency unit or the second frequency unit,
wherein based on the at least one NDP being a single NDP:
the single NDP includes: i) a first type of training sequence related to the first frequency unit and ii) a partial second type of training sequence related to the second frequency unit, and
the partial second type of training sequence is obtained from an entire second type of training sequences related to the entire bandwidth.
2 . The method of claim 1 ,
wherein based on the at least one NDP including a first NDP and a second NDP:
the first NDP includes the first type of training sequence for the first frequency unit, and
the second NDP includes a second type of training sequence for the second frequency unit.
3 . The method of claim 2 , wherein:
the second NDP includes only the second type of training sequence for the second frequency unit among the entire second type of training sequences for the entire bandwidth including the first frequency unit and the second frequency unit.
4 . The method of claim 2 , wherein:
the feedback frame includes at least one of first feedback information for the first frequency unit or second feedback information for the second frequency unit, and
the first feedback information is determined based on at least the first type of training sequence, and the second feedback information is determined based on at least the second type of training sequence.
5 . The method of claim 1 , wherein:
the feedback frame includes at least one of first feedback information for the first frequency unit or second feedback information for the second frequency unit, and
the first feedback information is determined based on at least the first type of training sequence, and the second feedback information is determined based on at least the partial second type of training sequence.
6 . The method of claim 1 , wherein:
a single trigger frame includes information indicating resource unit (RU) allocation for each of the first type PPDU format and the second type PPDU format.
7 . The method of claim 1 , wherein:
the at least one trigger frame includes a first trigger frame and a second trigger frame,
the first trigger frame includes information indicating resource unit allocation for the first type PPDU format, and
the second trigger frame includes information indicating resource unit allocation for the second type PPDU format.
8 . The method of claim 1 , wherein:
the at least one NDP announcement frame includes a specific STA information (info) field set to a specific association identifier (AID) value, and
the specific STA information field includes information indicating that the at least one NDP is transmitted on the first frequency unit and the second frequency unit.
9 . The method of claim 8 , wherein:
the specific STA info field includes at least one of information on a bandwidth including at least one of the first frequency unit or the second frequency unit or information on a number of STA info fields within the at least one NDP announcement frame.
10 . The method of claim 8 , wherein:
the at least one NDP announcement frame includes at least one second type STA info field, and
the at least one second type STA info field follows the specific STA info field within the at least one NDP announcement frame.
11 . The method of claim 1 , wherein:
on the first frequency unit and the second frequency unit, a transmission length of at least one of the at least one NDP announcement frame, the at least one NDP, or the at least one trigger frame are set to be same.
12 . The method of claim 1 , wherein:
on the first frequency unit and the second frequency unit, a start time and end time of at least one of the at least one NDP announcement frame, the at least one NDP, the at least one trigger frame, or the feedback frame are set to be same.
13 . The method of claim 1 , wherein:
based on the first PPDU format type or the second PPDU format type being a high efficiency (HE) format type, a first bit (B 0 ) of a sounding dialog of the at least one NDP announcement frame is set to 0 and a second bit (B 1 ) is set to 1, and
based on the first PPDU format type and the second PPDU format type being not the HE format type, and the first PPDU format type or the second PPDU format type being EHT (extremely high throughput), a first bit (B 0 ) and a second bit (B 1 ) of a sounding dialog of the at least one NDP announcement frame are set to 1.
14 . The method of claim 1 , wherein:
the first STA is a beamformee STA or a non-AP (access point) STA, and
the second STA is a beamformer STA or AP.
15 . A first station (STA) comprising:
at least one transceiver; and
at least one processor connected to the at least one transceiver,
wherein the at least one processor is configured to:
receive, from a second STA through the at least one transceiver, at least one null data physical layer protocol data unit (NDP) announcement frame on a first frequency unit associated with a first type PPDU format and a second frequency unit associated with a second type PPDU format, wherein the first frequency unit and the second frequency unit are included in an entire bandwidth;
receive, from the second STA through the at least one transceiver, at least one NDP on the first frequency unit and the second frequency unit;
receive, from the second STA through the at least one transceiver, at least one trigger frame on the first frequency unit and the second frequency unit; and
transmit, to the second STA through the at least one transceiver, a feedback frame for at least one of the first frequency unit or the second frequency unit,
wherein based on the at least one NDP being a single NDP:
the single NDP includes: i) a first type of training sequence related to the first frequency unit and ii) a partial second type of training sequence related to the second frequency unit, and
the partial second type of training sequence is obtained from an entire second type of training sequences related to the entire bandwidth.
16 . A second station (STA) comprising:
at least one transceiver; and
at least one processor connected to the at least one transceiver,
wherein the at least one processor is configured to:
transmit, to a first STA through the at least one transceiver, at least one null data physical layer protocol data unit (NDP) announcement frame on a first frequency unit associated with a first type PPDU format and a second frequency unit associated with a second type PPDU format, wherein the first frequency unit and the second frequency unit are included in an entire bandwidth;
transmit, to the first STA through the at least one transceiver, at least one NDP on the first frequency unit and the second frequency unit;
transmit, to the first STA through the at least one transceiver, at least one trigger frame on the first frequency unit and the second frequency unit; and
receive, from the first STA through the at least one transceiver, a feedback frame for at least one of the first frequency unit or the second frequency unit,
wherein based on the at least one NDP being a single NDP:
the single NDP includes: i) a first type of training sequence related to the first frequency unit and ii) a partial second type of training sequence related to the second frequency unit, and
the partial second type of training sequence is obtained from an entire second type of training sequences related to the entire bandwidth.
