Abstract

Methods, computer systems, and computer-storage media, and graphical user interfaces are provided for facilitating efficient meeting management, according to embodiments of the present technology. In one embodiment, engagement data associated with an attendee of an online meeting is obtained. Thereafter, an engagement metric is generated using the engagement data, the engagement metric indicating an extent of engagement of the attendee to the online meeting. Based on the engagement metric indicating that the extent of engagement of the attendee to the online meeting falls below an engagement threshold, a request is provided to disconnect or throttle an audio and/or video stream of the online meeting to and/or from an attendee device associated with the attendee of the online meeting. Efficient meeting management may also be performed by clustering related messages.

Claims (42)

1 . A computing system comprising:

one or more processors; and

one or more non-transitory computer-readable storage media, coupled with the one or more processors, having instructions stored thereon, which, when executed by the one or more processors, cause the computing system to perform operations comprising:

obtaining a plurality of messages from meeting attendees input via a message box in association with an online meeting during the online meeting;

generating, via a natural language processing model trained to identify intent of a message, a cluster of messages from different meeting attendees from the plurality of messages based on similarity of corresponding intent of textual content of corresponding messages in the cluster of messages;

from the cluster of messages having similar intent of textual content, selecting one of the corresponding messages comprising first textual content input by a meeting attendee as a representative message of the cluster of messages to represent the cluster of messages; and

providing, for graphical display, the representative message comprising the first textual content input by the meeting attendee and an indication of a number of the corresponding messages in the cluster of messages in real-time during the online meeting.

2 . The computing system of claim 1 , wherein the indication of the number of the corresponding messages comprises the number of the corresponding messages in the cluster of messages.

3 . The computing system of claim 1 , wherein the indication of the number of the corresponding messages comprises a notification that the number of the corresponding messages exceeds a threshold value.

4 . The computing system of claim 1 , wherein the indication of the number of the corresponding messages comprises a textual indication that the cluster of messages are commonly input by attendees of the online meeting.

5 . The computing system of claim 1 , the operations further comprising:

providing, for graphical display, the representative message to a moderator device in real-time during the online meeting.

The computing system of claim 1 , wherein the cluster of messages is ranked among other messages or clusters of messages of the plurality of messages such that the plurality of messages input via the online meeting are presented via a moderator device in a ranked order based on popularity of the plurality of messages, the popularity of the cluster of messages determined based at least on the number of the corresponding messages in the cluster of messages with respect to corresponding numbers of the other messages or clusters of messages.

7 . The computing system of claim 1 , the operations further comprising:

determining a plurality of portions of the online meeting, wherein the cluster of messages is ranked among other messages or clusters of messages of the plurality of messages such that the plurality of messages input via the online meeting are presented via a moderator device in a ranked order based on a length of time of each portion of the plurality of portions of the online meeting in which the cluster of messages is obtained with respect to corresponding lengths of time of corresponding portions of the plurality of portions of the online meeting in which the other messages or clusters of messages are obtained.

8 . The computing system of claim 7 , wherein each of the plurality of portions of the online meeting correspond to each of a plurality of topics of the online meeting.

9 . A computer-implemented method for facilitating efficient meeting management, the method comprising:

accessing a plurality of messages from meeting attendees input via a message box in association with an online meeting during the online meeting;

applying the plurality of messages to a natural language processing model to generate a cluster of messages from different meeting attendees from the plurality of messages based on similarity of corresponding intent of textual content of corresponding messages in the cluster of messages;

from the cluster of messages having similar intent of textual content, selecting one of the corresponding messages comprising first textual content input by a meeting attendee as a representative message of the cluster of messages to represent the cluster of messages; and

causing display of the representative message comprising the first textual content input by the meeting attendee and an indication of a number of the corresponding messages in the cluster of messages in real-time during the online meeting, wherein the cluster of messages is ranked among other messages or clusters of messages of the plurality of messages based on popularity, the popularity of the cluster of messages determined based at least on the number of the corresponding messages in the cluster of messages with respect to corresponding numbers of the other messages or clusters of messages.

The method of claim 9 , wherein the indication of the number of the corresponding messages comprises at least one of the number of the corresponding messages in the cluster of messages, a notification that the number of the corresponding messages exceeds a threshold value, and a textual indication that the cluster of messages are commonly input by attendees of the online meeting.

11 . The method of claim 9 , further comprising:

causing display of the representative message on a moderator device in real-time during the online meeting.

12 . The method of claim 9 , further comprising:

determining a plurality of portions of the online meeting, wherein the cluster of messages is further ranked among the other messages or clusters of messages of the plurality of messages such that the plurality of messages input via the online meeting are presented via a moderator device in a ranked order based on a length of time of each portion of the plurality of portions of the online meeting in which the cluster of messages is obtained with respect to corresponding lengths of time of corresponding portions of the plurality of portions of the online meeting in which the other messages or clusters of messages are obtained.

13 . The method of claim 9 , wherein the first textual content input by the meeting attendee corresponds to an earliest received message of the cluster messages having similar intent received during the online meeting.

14 . One or more computer storage media having computer-executable instructions embodied thereon that, when executed by one or more processors, cause the one or more processors to perform a method for facilitating meeting management, the method comprising:

accessing a plurality of messages from meeting attendees input via a message box in association with an online meeting during the online meeting;

applying the plurality of messages to a natural language processing model trained to identify intent of a message to generate a cluster of messages from different meeting attendees from the plurality of messages based on similarity of corresponding intent of textual content of corresponding messages in the cluster of messages;

applying the cluster of messages to the natural language processing model to generate a new message that represents the cluster of messages; and

causing display of the new message that represents the cluster of messages and an indication of a number of the corresponding messages in the cluster of messages in real-time during the online meeting, wherein the cluster of messages is ranked among other messages or clusters of messages of the plurality of messages based on popularity, the popularity of the cluster of messages determined based at least on the number of the corresponding messages in the cluster of messages with respect to corresponding numbers of the other messages or clusters of messages.

The media of claim 14 , wherein the indication of the number of the corresponding messages comprises at least one of the number of the corresponding messages in the cluster of messages, a notification that the number of the corresponding messages exceeds a threshold value, and a textual indication that the cluster of messages are commonly input by attendees of the online meeting.

16 . The media of claim 14 , the method further comprising:

determining a plurality of portions of the online meeting corresponding to each of a plurality of topics of the online meeting, wherein the cluster of messages is further ranked among the other messages or clusters of messages of the plurality of messages such that the plurality of messages input via the online meeting are presented via a moderator device in a ranked order based on a length of time of each portion of the plurality of portions of the online meeting in which the cluster of messages is obtained with respect to corresponding lengths of time of corresponding portions of the plurality of portions of the online meeting in which the other messages or clusters of messages are obtained.

17 . The computing system of claim 1 , the operations further comprising:

determining a plurality of portions of the online meeting, wherein the cluster of messages is ranked among other messages or clusters of messages of the plurality of messages such that the plurality of messages input via the online meeting are presented via a moderator device in a ranked order based on a recency of each portion of the plurality of portions of the online meeting in which the cluster of messages is obtained with respect to corresponding recency of corresponding portions of the plurality of portions of the online meeting in which the other messages or clusters of messages are obtained.

18 . The computing system of claim 17 , wherein the first textual content input by the meeting attendee corresponds to an earliest received message of the cluster messages having similar intent received during the online meeting.

19 . The method of claim 9 , further comprising:

determining a plurality of portions of the online meeting, wherein the cluster of messages is further ranked among the other messages or clusters of messages of the plurality of messages such that the plurality of messages input via the online meeting are presented via a moderator device in a ranked order based on a recency of each portion of the plurality of portions of the online meeting in which the cluster of messages is obtained with respect to corresponding recency of corresponding portions of the plurality of portions of the online meeting in which the other messages or clusters of messages are obtained.

20 . The media of claim 14 , the method further comprising:

determining a plurality of portions of the online meeting corresponding to each of a plurality of topics of the online meeting, wherein the cluster of messages is further ranked among the other messages or clusters of messages of the plurality of messages such that the plurality of messages input via the online meeting are presented via a moderator device in a ranked order based on a recency of each portion of the plurality of portions of the online meeting in which the cluster of messages is obtained with respect to corresponding recency of corresponding portions of the plurality of portions of the online meeting in which the other messages or clusters of messages are obtained.
