Abstract

It is possible to enable a reception side to easily recognize that metadata is inserted into an audio stream. A metafile including meta information for acquiring an audio stream into which metadata is inserted through a reception device is transmitted. The identification information indicating that the metadata is inserted into the audio stream is inserted into the metafile. At the reception side, it is possible to easily recognize that the metadata is inserted into the audio stream based on the identification information inserted into the metafile.

Claims (43)

1 . An information processing apparatus, comprising:

a reception circuit that receives an audio stream;

a decoding circuit that performs decoding processing on the audio stream and obtains audio data; and

an audio processing circuit that processes the audio data and outputs the audio data to an output circuit, wherein

a codec of the audio stream is MPEG-H 3D audio,

the audio stream includes a header and a payload,

the payload includes “SYNC” corresponding to a synchronization start code, “Frame” that is actual data of 3D audio transmission data, and “Config” indicating a configuration of the “Frame”,

the “Frame” includes channel coded data or object coded data constituting the 3D audio transmission data,

the object coded data includes encoded sample data of a single channel element (SCE) and metadata for mapping the encoded sample data to a speaker existing at an arbitrary position and for rendering the encoded sample data, and

the metadata is included as an extension element (Ext_element).

2 . The information processing apparatus according to claim 1 , wherein a type (ExElementType) of the extension element corresponding to a case where a value of the extension element (Ext_element) is 0 is ID_EXT_ELE_FILL.

3 . The information processing apparatus according to claim 1 , wherein a type (ExElementType) of the extension element corresponding to a case where the value of the extension element (Ext_element) is 1 is ID_EXT_ELE_MPEGS.

4 . The information processing apparatus according to claim 1 , wherein a type (ExElementType) of the extension element corresponding to a case where the value of the extension element (Ext_element) is 2 is ID_EXT_ELE_SAOC.

5 . The information processing apparatus according to claim 1 , wherein a type (ExElementType) of the extension element corresponding to a case where the value of the extension element (Ext_element) is 3 is ID_EXT_ELE_AUDIOPREROLL.

6 . The information processing apparatus according to claim 1 , wherein a type (ExElementType) of the extension element corresponding to a case where the value of the extension element (Ext_element) is 4 is ID_EXT_ELE_UNI_DRC.

7 . The information processing apparatus according to claim 1 , wherein a type (ExElementType) of the extension element corresponding to a case where the value of the extension element (Ext_element) is 5 is ID_EXT_ELE_OBJ_METADATA.

8 . The information processing apparatus according to claim 1 , wherein a type (ExElementType) of the extension element corresponding to a case where the value of the extension element (Ext_element) is 6 is ID_EXT_ELE_SAOC_3D.

9 . The information processing apparatus according to claim 1 , wherein a type (ExElementType) of the extension element corresponding to a case where the value of the extension element (Ext_element) is 7 is ID_EXT_ELE_HOA.

10 . The information processing apparatus according to claim 1 , wherein when a value of the extension element (Ext_element) is 128 or more, extension to other than MPEG is allowed.

11 . The information processing apparatus according to claim 1 , wherein the audio stream includes a plurality of MPEG audio stream packets.

12 . The information processing apparatus according to claim 1 , wherein the header includes information of a packet type, a packet label, and a packet length.

13 . The information processing apparatus according to claim 1 , wherein the audio stream is included in a transport stream of MPEG2-TS.

14 . The information processing apparatus according to claim 1 , wherein the audio stream further includes identification information indicating that the audio stream includes the metadata.

15 . An information processing method, comprising:

receiving an audio stream;

performing decoding processing on the audio stream and obtaining audio data; and

processing the audio data and outputting the audio data to an output device, wherein

a codec of the audio stream is MPEG-H 3D audio,

the audio stream includes a header and a payload,

the payload includes “SYNC” corresponding to a synchronization start code, “Frame” that is actual data of 3D audio transmission data, and “Config” indicating a configuration of the “Frame”,

the “Frame” includes channel coded data or object coded data constituting the 3D audio transmission data,

the object coded data includes encoded sample data of a single channel element (SCE) and metadata for mapping the encoded sample data to a speaker existing at an arbitrary position and for rendering the encoded sample data, and

the metadata is included as an extension element (Ext_element).

16 . A non-transitory computer-readable medium storing a program that causes a computer to execute an information processing method comprising:

receiving an audio stream;

performing decoding processing on the audio stream and obtaining audio data; and

processing the audio data and outputting the audio data to an output device, wherein

a codec of the audio stream is MPEG-H 3D audio,

the audio stream includes a header and a payload,

the payload includes “SYNC” corresponding to a synchronization start code, “Frame” that is actual data of 3D audio transmission data, and “Config” indicating a configuration of the “Frame”,

the “Frame” includes channel coded data or object coded data constituting the 3D audio transmission data,

the object coded data includes encoded sample data of a single channel element (SCE) and metadata for mapping the encoded sample data to a speaker existing at an arbitrary position and for rendering the encoded sample data, and

the metadata is included as an extension element (Ext_element).
