Method and apparatus for managing partial bandwidth for cell group activation or inactivation in next-generation mobile communication system
The present disclosure relates to a 5G or 6G communication system for supporting a higher data transmission rate. According to an embodiment of the present disclosure, provided are a method and an apparatus for enabling a cell to be quickly activated in a next-generation mobile communication system.
1 . A method performed by a terminal in a wireless communication system, the method comprising:
receiving, from a base station, a message including configuration information of a cell;
in case that the message includes information indicating deactivation of a cell group comprising the cell, identifying whether information on a bandwidth part (BWP) to be measured is included in the configuration information of the cell; and
in case that the information on the BWP to be measured is included in the configuration information of the cell, performing measurement in the BWP.
2 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising:
in case that the information on the BWP to be measured is not included in the configuration information of the cell, performing measurement in a BWP previously activated before the cell is deactivated.
3 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the information on the BWP to be measured includes information indicating a first active downlink bandwidth part.
4 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the measurement comprises at least one of radio link monitoring (RLM) or beam failure detection (BFD).
5 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising:
in case that the message includes information indicating activation of the cell group comprising the cell and the information on the BWP to be measured is not included in the configuration information of the cell, performing measurement in a BWP previously activated before the cell is deactivated.
6 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the measurement is performed based on information indicating a transmission configuration indication (TCI) state, included in the configuration information of the cell.
7 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the cell comprises at least one of a special cell (SpCell) or a primary secondary cell group (SCG) cell (PSCell).
8 . A terminal in a wireless communication system, the terminal comprising:
a transceiver; and
a controller coupled with the transceiver and configured to:
receive, from a base station, a message including configuration information of a cell,
in case that the message includes information indicating deactivation of a cell group comprising the cell, identify whether information on a bandwidth part (BWP) to be measured is included in the configuration information of the cell, and
in case that the information on the BWP to be measured is included in the configuration information of the cell, perform measurement in the BWP.
9 . The terminal of claim 8 , wherein the controller is configured to:
in case that the information on the BWP to be measured is not included in the configuration information of the cell, perform measurement in a BWP previously activated before the cell is deactivated.
10 . The terminal of claim 8 , wherein the information on the BWP to be measured includes information indicating a first active downlink bandwidth part.
11 . The terminal of claim 8 , wherein the measurement comprises at least one of radio link monitoring (RLM) or beam failure detection (BFD).

The terminal of claim 8 , wherein the controller is configured to in case that the message includes information indicating activation of the cell group comprising the cell and the information on the BWP to be measured is not included in the configuration information of the cell, perform measurement in a BWP previously activated before the cell is deactivated.
13 . The terminal of claim 8 , wherein the controller is configured to perform the measurement, based on information indicating a transmission configuration indication (TCI) state, included in the configuration information of the cell.
14 . The terminal of claim 8 , wherein the cell comprises at least one of a special cell (SpCell) or a primary secondary cell group (SCG) cell (PSCell).
