Method and apparatus for delivering packet based on traffic separation indicator by IAB node in wireless communication system
The present disclosure relates to a method of transmitting a packet by an integrated access and backhaul (IAB) node in a wireless communication system. In particular, the method includes the steps of: receiving the packet from a child node; based on the packet having a separation indication, generating a radio resource control (RRC) message including the packet and transmitting the RRC message to a first parent node which is connected with a donor node directly; and based on the packet not having the separation indication, transmitting the packet with routing information related to the donor node to a second parent node which is connected with the donor node through a third parent node.
1 . A method comprising:
receiving, by an integrated access and backhaul (IAB) node, a packet;
based on the packet being received via a first backhaul (BH) radio link control (RLC) channel configured for a separation, transmitting, by the IAB node, a radio resource control (RRC) message including the packet a donor node via an access link; and
based on the packet being received via a second BH RLC channel not configured for the separation, transmitting, by the IAB node, the packet with routing information related to the donor node to an egress BH RLC channel of a BH link.
2 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the RRC message is transmitted without the routing information.
3 . The method of claim 1 , wherein generating the RRC message including the packet comprises:
extracting, by the IAB node, a control message from the packet; and
generating, by the IAB node, the RRC message by encapsulating the extracted control message.
4 . An integrated access and backhaul (IAB) node comprising:
at least one processor; and
at least one computer memory storing instructions that, when executed by the at least one processor, cause the IAB node to perform operations comprising:
receiving a packet;
based on the packet being received via a first backhaul (BH) radio link control (RLC) channel configured for a separation, transmitting a radio resource control (RRC) message including the packet a to a donor node via an access link; and
based on the packet being received via a second BH RLC channel not configured for the separation, transmitting the packet with routing information related to the donor node to an egress BH RLC channel of a BH link.
5 . The IAB node of claim 4 , wherein the RRC message is transmitted without the routing information.
6 . The IAB node of claim 4 , wherein generating the RRC message including the packet comprises:
extracting a control message from the packet; and
generating the RRC message by encapsulating the extracted control message.
7 . An apparatus for an integrated access and backhaul (IAB) node, the apparatus comprising:
at least one processor; and
at least one computer memory storing instructions that, when executed by the at least one processor, cause the IAB node to perform operations comprising:
receiving a packet;
based on the packet being received via a first backhaul (BH) radio link control (RLC) channel configured for a separation, transmitting a radio resource control (RRC) message including the packet to a donor node via an access link; and
based on the packet being received via a second BH RLC channel not configured for the separation, transmitting the packet with routing information related to the donor node to an egress BH RLC channel of a BH link.
8 . A non-transitory computer readable storage medium comprising program instructions that, when executed by at least one processor, cause an integrated access and backhaul (IAB) node to perform operations comprising:
receiving a packet;
based on the packet being received via a first backhaul (BH) radio link control (RLC) channel configured for a separation, transmitting a radio resource control (RRC) message including the packet to a donor node via an access link; and
based on the packet being received via a second BH RLC channel not configured for the separation, transmitting the packet with routing information related to the donor node to an egress BH RLC channel of a BH link.
