The housing can comprise a front wall, a rear wall, lateral side walls connecting the front and rear wall, and a base. The housing can be configured to enclose the shredder and the receptacle. The magnet can be positioned in the base of the housing. The hook assembly can be coupled to an upper portion of the rear wall of the housing. The hook assembly can comprise a body extending along at least a portion of the rear wall of the housing and a hook coupled to a first end of the body. The base and the receptacle can be removable from the paper shredder.

1 . A refuse-receiving system comprising:

a main receptacle that is able to receive whole refuse; and

a paper shredder comprising:

a shredder;

a paper shredder receptacle configured to receive shredded refuse from the shredder; and

an attachment configured to permit the paper shredder to be removably attached to the main receptacle by a user without the use of tools, such that when the paper shredder is attached to the main receptacle, a user is enabled to insert both whole refuse and shredded refuse in different locations at same time, and the paper shredder is positioned laterally outside an exterior surface of a wall of the main receptacle.

2 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the paper shredder comprises a housing configured to receive the paper shredder receptacle, the housing comprising a first portion and a second portion, the second portion of the housing being removable from the first portion of the housing.

3 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the attachment comprises a hook and a body.

4 . The system of claim 3 , further comprising an adhesive positioned on a first side of the body.

5 . The system of claim 3 , further comprising a housing configured to receive the paper shredder receptacle, wherein the paper shredder is permanently coupled to the body via the housing.

6 . The system of claim 3 , wherein the body comprises a groove configured to allow space for a charging cord.

7 . The system of claim 1 , further comprising:

a coupler comprising a moveable portion and one or more protrusions

wherein the attachment comprises a receiving area having one or more recesses configured to receive the one or more protrusions, and

wherein the paper shredder receptacle is removable from the shredder when the coupler is disengaged.

8 . The system of claim 7 , wherein the coupler further comprises a magnet.

9 . The system of claim 8 , wherein the receiving area further comprises a magnet configured to attract the magnet of the coupler.

10 . The system of claim 7 , further comprising a grip portion configured to disengage the coupler.

11 . The system of claim 1 , further comprising a lid.

12 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the attachment further comprises a groove configured to allow space for a charging cord.

13 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the shredder is coupled to a housing via one or more fasteners, wherein each fastener is at least partially surrounded by a vibration interface.

14 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the attachment configured to removably attach the paper shredder to a rim of the main receptacle.

15 . The system of claim 1 , wherein, when the paper shredder is attached to the main receptacle, a top of the paper shredder is positioned adjacent to or in contact with a top of the main receptacle.
