Abstract

Various implementations described herein are directed to a formwork system. In one implementation, the formwork system includes aluminum extrusions and aluminum castings. The aluminum castings and the aluminum extrusions can be assembled by being pressed and riveted together.

Claims (38)

1 . A formwork system, comprising:

a first formwork panel having a first inner rail abutting against a first rear surface of a first form face;

a second formwork panel having a second inner rail butting against a second rear surface of a second form face;

an interior corner form having an interior corner bracket, the interior corner bracket having a first member including a first inner surface and a first outer surface and a second member including a second inner surface and a second outer surface,

wherein the first member and the second member are hingedly attached via a hinge located at an intersection between the first member and the second member,

wherein the first inner surface faces the second outer surface; and

a first adjustable clamp between the first formwork panel and the interior corner form, wherein the first adjustable clamp is configured to allow the uncoupling and recoupling of the first formwork panel and the interior corner form,

a second adjustable clamp between the second formwork panel and the interior corner form, wherein the second adjustable clamp is configured to allow the uncoupling and recoupling of the second formwork panel and the interior corner form.

2 . The formwork system as recited in claim 1 , wherein the first adjustable clamp and/or the second adjustable clamp comprises steel.

3 . The formwork system as recited in claim 1 , further comprising:

a first side rail between the first inner rail and the interior corner form.

4 . The formwork system as recited in claim 1 , wherein the interior corner form comprises extruded aluminum.

5 . The formwork system as recited in claim 4 , wherein the extruded aluminum comprises an L-shaped cross-section.

6 . The formwork system as recited in claim 4 , wherein the interior corner form comprises an aluminum hinge disposed between the first member and the second member.

7 . The formwork system as recited in claim 6 , the first formwork panel further comprising:

a plurality of additional inner rails;

wherein a first of the plurality of additional inner rails is steel and a second of the plurality of additional inner rails is wood.

8 . The formwork system as recited in claim 1 , the interior corner bracket further comprising a spanning member, wherein the spanning member is removably attached to the first member and is removably attached to the second member.

9 . A formwork system, comprising:

a first panel comprising a first inner rail, a first corner casting, and a first side rail,

wherein the first inner rail and the first side rail abut against a first rear surface of a first form face,

wherein the first inner rail, the first corner casting, and the first side rail are interconnected via a press fit;

a second panel comprising a second inner rail, a second corner casting, and a second side rail,

wherein the second inner rail and the second side rail abut against a second rear surface of a second form face,

wherein the second inner rail, the second corner casting, and the second side rail are interconnected via a press fit;

an interior corner form having an interior corner bracket, the interior corner bracket having a first member including a first inner surface and a first outer surface and a second member including a second inner surface and a second outer surface,

wherein the first member and the second member are hingedly attached via a hinge located at an intersection between the first member and the second member; and

a first threadably tightenable clamp between the first panel and the interior corner form, wherein the coupling is a removable and configured to allow the uncoupling and recoupling of the first panel and the interior corner form;

a second threadably tightenable clamp between the second panel and the interior corner form, wherein the second coupling is removable and configured to allow the uncoupling and recoupling of the second panel and the interior corner form.

10 . The formwork system as recited in claim 9 , the interior corner bracket further comprising a spanning member, wherein the spanning member is removably attached to the first member and is removably attached to the second member.

11 . The formwork system as recited in claim 9 , wherein the first threadably tightenable clamp and the second threadably tightenable clamp are comprised of steel.

12 . The formwork system as recited in claim 9 , wherein the first side rail is between the first inner rail and the interior corner form.

13 . The formwork system as recited in claim 9 , wherein the interior corner form comprises extruded aluminum.

14 . The formwork system as recited in claim 13 , wherein the extruded aluminum comprises an L-shaped cross-section.

15 . The formwork system as recited in claim 13 , wherein the interior corner form comprises an aluminum hinge disposed between the first member and the second member.

16 . The formwork system as recited in claim 15 , further comprising:

a plurality of additional inner rails;

wherein a first of the plurality of additional inner rails is steel and a second of the plurality of additional inner rails is wood.
