Geofenced payments
A computer-implemented method includes detecting a mobile device associated with an entity entering a geographic location, monitoring a position of the entity within the geographic location, determining movements of the entity within the geographic location based on monitoring the position of the entity, identifying an action performed by the entity within the geographic location based on the movements of the entity, determining an amount of a payment based on the action where the amount of the payment is configured to at least one of increase or decrease based on the movements of the entity within the geographic location, detecting the mobile device exiting the geographic location, and transferring the payment via a payment network in response to determining the amount of the payment and the entity exiting the geographic location.
1 . A computer-implemented method comprising:
detecting, by a processor of a third-party entity, a mobile device of an entity to perform a task in a geographic location entering the geographic location;
monitoring, by the processor via a plurality of tracking devices in the geographic location, a position of the entity within the geographic location by receiving from the mobile device at least two identifiers received by the mobile device from at least two of the tracking devices, each of the tracking devices configured to broadcast an identifier of a corresponding tracking device within a limited geographical range;
determining, by the processor, movements of the entity within the geographic location based on monitoring the position of the entity via the received identifiers;
identifying, by the processor, one or more actions performed by the entity associated with the task within the geographic location based on the movements of the entity;
determining, by the processor, an amount of payment based on the performed one or more actions, the determined amount of payment configured to at least one of increase or decrease based on the movements of the entity within the geographic location;
detecting, by the processor, the mobile device exiting the geographic location; and
in response to detecting that the mobile device has exited the geographic location, transferring, by the processor, the determined amount of payment via a payment network.
2 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising:
sending a receipt to the mobile device in response to transferring the determined amount of payment via the payment network.
3 . The method of claim 1 , wherein detecting the mobile device entering the geographic location and exiting the geographic location is based on cellular data received from the mobile device.
4 . The method of claim 1 , wherein monitoring the position of the entity includes receiving position information from the tracking devices.
5 . The method of claim 4 , wherein the tracking devices are at least one of; a plurality of cameras, a security system, or a plurality of proximity beacons.
6 . The method of claim 4 , wherein monitoring the position of the entity includes receiving position information from a network of tracking devices positioned about the geographic location.
7 . The method of claim 6 , wherein the network of tracking devices includes a plurality of cameras.
8 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising:
comparing, by the processor, the movements of the entity to predefined movement parameters associated with a payment;
wherein transferring the determined amount of payment via the payment network is based on determining that the movements of the entity correspond to the predefined movement parameters associated with the payment.
9 . The method of claim 1 , wherein transferring the determined amount of payment via the payment network includes sending a transfer funds request to a source account bank computer system.
10 . A computer system comprising:
a processor and non-transitory machine readable media of a third-party entity having instructions stored thereon that, when executed by the processor, configure the processor to:
detect a mobile device of an entity to perform a task in a geographic location entering the geographic location;
monitor, via a plurality of tracking devices in the geographic location, a position of the entity within the geographic location by receiving from the mobile device at least two identifiers received by the mobile device from at least two of the tracking devices, each of the tracking devices configured to broadcast an identifier of a corresponding tracking device within a limited geographical range;
determine movements of the entity within the geographic location based on monitoring the position of the entity via the received identifiers;
identify one or more actions performed by the entity associated with the task within the geographic location based on the movements of the entity;
determine an amount of payment based on the performed one or more actions, the determined amount of payment configured to at least one of increase or decrease based on the movements of the entity within the geographic location;
detect the mobile device exiting the geographic location; and
in response to detecting that the mobile device has exited the geographic location, transfer the determined amount of payment via a payment network.
11 . The computer system of claim 10 , wherein the instructions further configure the processor to send a receipt to the mobile device in response to transferring the determined amount of payment via the payment network.
12 . The computer system of claim 10 , wherein detecting the mobile device entering the geographic location and exiting the geographic location is based on cellular data received from the mobile device.
13 . The computer system of claim 10 , wherein monitoring the position of the entity includes receiving position information from the tracking devices.
14 . The computer system of claim 13 , wherein the tracking devices are at least one of; a plurality of cameras, a security system, or a plurality of proximity beacons.
15 . The computer system of claim 13 , wherein monitoring the position of the entity further includes receiving position information from a network of tracking devices positioned about the geographic location.
16 . The computer system of claim 15 , wherein the network of tracking devices includes a plurality of cameras.
17 . The computer system of claim 10 , wherein the instructions further configure the processor to;
compare the movements of the entity to predefined movement parameters associated with a payment;
wherein transferring the determined amount of payment via the payment network is based on determining that the movements of the entity correspond to the predefined movement parameters associated with the payment.
18 . The computer system of claim 10 , wherein transferring the determined amount of payment via the payment network includes sending a transfer fund request to a source account bank computer system.
