Method and device for fast FSK communication in wireless power transmission system
Provided are a method and a device using same. The method, performed by a wireless power transmitter, for transferring wireless power to a wireless power receiver in a wireless power transmission system disclosed herein, comprises: entering a power transfer phase related to the transfer of the wireless power and transmitting auxiliary data transport (ADT) packets in the power transfer phase to the wireless power receiver, wherein the wireless power transmitter transmits the ADT packets to the wireless power receiver on the basis of frequency shift keying (FSK), and the maximum size of the ADT packets is determined on the basis of the number of cycles used in the FSK.
1 . A method in a wireless power transfer system, the method performed by a wireless power transmitter and comprising:
receiving a specific request (SRQ) packet from a wireless power receiver, wherein the SRQ packet includes information related to a number of cycles making up one Frequency Shift Keying (FSK) bit, wherein the SRQ packet is received in a negotiation phase; and
transmitting an auxiliary data transport (ADT) data packet to the wireless power receiver in a power transfer phase,
wherein the wireless power transmitter communicates with the wireless power receiver based on FSK, and
wherein a size of the ADT data packet is selected based on applying a floor function to a value which is obtained from an operating frequency related to the FSK and the number of cycles,
wherein the value increases when the number of cycles decreases, and
wherein the value increases when the operating frequency increases.
2 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the number of cycles is 512, 256, 128, or 64.
3 . The method of claim 2 , wherein based on the number of cycles being 512, the size is 7 bytes,
wherein based on the number of cycles being 256, the size is 16 bytes, and
wherein based on the number of cycles being 128 or 64, the size is 25 bytes.
4 . A wireless power transmitter, comprising:
a converter related to transferring wireless power to a wireless power receiver; and
a communicator/controller related to controlling the transfer of the wireless power,
wherein the wireless power transmitter:
receives a specific request (SRQ) packet from the wireless power receiver,
wherein the SRQ packet includes information related to a number of cycles making up one Frequency Shift Keying (FSK) bit, wherein the SRQ packet is received in a negotiation phase; and
transmits an auxiliary data transport (ADT) data packet to the wireless power receiver in a power transfer phase,
wherein the wireless power transmitter communicates with the wireless power receiver based on FSK, and
wherein a size of the ADT data packet is selected based on applying a floor function to a value which is obtained from an operating frequency related to the FSK and the number of cycles,
wherein the value increases when the number of cycles decreases, and
wherein the value increases when the operating frequency increases.
5 . A method in a wireless power transfer system, the method performed by a wireless power receiver and comprising:
transmitting a specific request (SRQ) packet to a wireless power transmitter, wherein the SRQ packet includes information related to a number of cycles making up one Frequency Shift Keying (FSK) bit, wherein the SRQ packet is transmitted in a negotiation phase; and
receiving an auxiliary data transport (ADT) data packet from the wireless power transmitter in a power transfer phase,
wherein the wireless power receiver communicates with the wireless power transmitter based on FSK, and
wherein a size of the ADT data packet is selected based on applying a floor function to a value which is obtained from an operating frequency related to the FSK and the number of cycles,
wherein the value increases when the number of cycles decreases, and
wherein the value increases when the operating frequency increases.
