Abstract

Wireless communications between wireless devices are described. A wireless devices and/or a base station may determine at least one resource and/or time period for use with communications between wireless devices. The base station and/or the wireless device may schedule device-to-device communication, based on the determined resource(s) and/or time period(s), which may increase the likelihood of successful communications between wireless devices.

1 . A method comprising:

receiving, by a first wireless device from a base station:

an indication of a plurality of resources for communication between wireless devices; and

an indication of a time interval for a resource switching; and

2 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising:

sending, by the first wireless device to the second wireless device, a request to establish a connection with the second wireless device; and

receiving, by the first wireless device from the second wireless device, a response to the request to establish the connection, wherein the response comprises gap information.

3 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising:

receiving, by the first wireless device from the base station, an indication of a second time interval during which signal transmission between the first wireless device and the second wireless device is allowed.

4 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the resource switching comprises a bandwidth part switching for the second wireless device.

5 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the sending comprises sending the signal transmission via at least one of:

a physical layer sidelink control channel; or

a physical layer sidelink shared channel.

6 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the at least one resource overlaps with a reception gap that is associated with one or more of: an offset, a symbol, a slot, a subframe, a frame, a bitmap, or a periodicity.

7 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the receiving the indication of the plurality of resources comprises:

receiving, by the first wireless device from the base station, an indication of a resource pool for communication with the second wireless device, wherein the resource pool comprises the plurality of resources.

8 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the indication of the time interval comprises at least one of;

a first value indicating an offset, or

a second value indicating a number of time units, and

wherein the time interval is configured by the base station.

9 . The method of claim 1 , wherein signal transmission between the first wireless device and the second wireless device is disallowed, and wherein the resource switching comprises switching one or more resources between the first wireless device and the base station.

10 . A first wireless device comprising:

one or more processors; and

memory storing instructions that, when executed by the one or more processors, configure the first wireless device to:

receive, from a base station:

an indication of a plurality of resources for communication between wireless devices; and

an indication of a time interval for a resource switching; and

send, to a second wireless device and using at least one resource of the plurality of resources and outside the time interval, a signal transmission.

11 . The first wireless device of claim 10 , wherein the instructions, when executed by the one or more processors, further configure the first wireless device to:

send, to the second wireless device, a request to establish a connection with the second wireless device; and

receive, from the second wireless device, a response to the request to establish the connection, wherein the response comprises gap information.

12 . The first wireless device of claim 10 , wherein the instructions, when executed by the one or more processors, further configure the first wireless device to:

receive, from the base station, an indication of a second time interval during which signal transmission between the first wireless device and the second wireless device is allowed.

13 . The first wireless device of claim 10 , wherein the resource switching comprises a bandwidth part switching for the second wireless device.

14 . The first wireless device of claim 10 , wherein the instructions, when executed by the one or more processors, configure the first wireless device to send the signal transmission by sending the signal transmission via at least one of:

a physical layer sidelink control channel; or

a physical layer sidelink shared channel.

15 . The first wireless device of claim 10 , wherein the at least one resource overlaps with a reception gap that is associated with one or more of: an offset, a symbol, a slot, a subframe, a frame, a bitmap, or a periodicity.

16 . The first wireless device of claim 10 , wherein the instructions, when executed by the one or more processors, configure the first wireless device to receive the indication of the plurality of resources by:

receiving, from the base station, an indication of a resource pool for communication with the second wireless device, wherein the resource pool comprises the plurality of resources.

17 . A non-transitory computer-readable medium storing instructions that, when executed, cause:

receiving, by a first wireless device from a base station:

an indication of a plurality of resources for communication between wireless devices; and

an indication of a time interval for a resource switching; and

sending, by the first wireless device to a second wireless device and using at least one resource of the plurality of resources and outside the time interval, a signal transmission.

18 . The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 17 , wherein the instructions, when executed, further cause:

sending, by the first wireless device to the second wireless device, a request to establish a connection with the second wireless device; and

receiving, by the first wireless device from the second wireless device, a response to the request to establish the connection, wherein the response comprises gap information.

19 . The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 17 , wherein the instructions, when executed, further cause:

receiving, by the first wireless device from the base station, an indication of a second time interval during which signal transmission between the first wireless device and the second wireless device is allowed.

20 . The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 17 , wherein the resource switching comprises a bandwidth part switching for the second wireless device.

21 . The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 17 , wherein the instructions, when executed, cause the sending by sending the signal transmission via at least one of:

a physical layer sidelink control channel; or

a physical layer sidelink shared channel.

22 . The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 17 , wherein the at least one resource overlaps with a reception gap that is associated with one or more of: an offset, a symbol, a slot, a subframe, a frame, a bitmap, or a periodicity.
