Abstract

Disclosed are a method and device for communicating in a wireless LAN system. A method for a first station (STA) to communicate in a wireless LAN system comprises the steps of: transmitting, to a plurality of STAs, a first frame for forming a group that is to perform a sensing operation; transmitting a second frame, including information related to a sensing session, to at least one STA that has transmitted a first response frame to the first frame among the plurality of STAs; performing a first sensing operation with the at least one STA in a first sensing burst in the sensing session; and performing a second sensing operation with the at least one STA in a second sensing burst, following the first sensing burst, in the sensing session.

Claims (46)

1 . A method of performing communication by a first station (STA) in a wireless LAN system, the method comprising:

transmitting, to a plurality of STAs, a first frame to form a group to perform a sensing operation;

transmitting, to at least one STA among the plurality of STAs that transmitted a first response frame for the first frame, a second frame including information related to a sensing session;

performing a first sensing operation with the at least one STA in a first sensing burst of the sensing session; and

performing a second sensing operation with the at least one STA in a second sensing burst following the first sensing burst during the sensing session,

wherein the first sensing operation includes transmitting a sensing frame from the first STA to the at least one STA, and

wherein the second sensing operation includes transmitting the sensing frame from the second STA to the first STA and a remaining STA among the at least one STA.

2 . The method of claim 1 , wherein:

a third sensing operation is performed in a third sensing burst following the second sensing burst during the sensing session, and

the third sensing operation includes one of an operation in which the sensing frame is transmitted to the first STA, or an operation in which the sensing frame is transmitted to the first STA and the second STA.

3 . The method of claim 1 , wherein:

the first sensing operation is performed based on the third frame, and

the third frame includes transmission-related parameters for the first sensing operation.

4 . The method of claim 3 , wherein:

the third frame includes at least one of a trigger frame or a null data physical layer protocol data unit (PPDU) announcement (NDPA) frame, and

the sensing frame includes a null data PPDU (NDP).

5 . The method of claim 1 , wherein:

a fourth frame requesting a feedback frame for the sensing frame transmitted in the first sensing burst is transmitted to the at least one STA, and

based on the fourth frame, the feedback frame is received from the at least one STA.

6 . The method of claim 1 , wherein:

after the second sensing burst ends, a fifth frame requesting a feedback frame for the sensing frame transmitted in the second sensing burst is transmitted to the second STA.

7 . The method of claim 6 , wherein:

the fifth frame includes at least one of information related to the sensing frame transmitted in the second sensing burst or information related to the second sensing burst.

8 . The method of claim 1 , wherein:

the first frame is sequentially transmitted to each of the plurality of STAs, and

the first response frame is received from the at least one STA among the plurality of STAs.

9 . The method of claim 1 , wherein:

the first frame includes resource unit (RU) information allocated to each of the plurality of STAs, and

the first response frame is received from the at least one STA based on the RU information.

10 . The method of claim 1 , wherein:

the at least one STA is an STA that transmitted the first response frame for a preconfigured time after the first frame was transmitted among the plurality of STAs.

11 . The method of claim 1 , wherein:

capability information related to group sensing operation is received from the plurality of STAs.

12 . The method of claim 1 , wherein:

the first STA is the owner of the group, and

the at least one STA is a member of the group.

13 . A first station (STA) performing communication in a wireless LAN system, the first STA comprising:

at least one transceiver; and

at least one processor connected to the at least one transceiver,

wherein the at least one processor is configured to:

transmit, to a plurality of STAs through the at least one transceiver, a first frame to form a group to perform a sensing operation;

transmit, to at least one STA among the plurality of STAs that transmitted a first response frame for the first frame, a second frame including information related to a sensing session through the at least one transceiver;

perform a first sensing operation with the at least one STA in a first sensing burst of the sensing session; and

perform a second sensing operation with the at least one STA in a second sensing burst following the first sensing burst during the sensing session,

wherein the first sensing operation includes transmitting a sensing frame from the first STA to the at least one STA, and

wherein the second sensing operation includes transmitting the sensing frame from the second STA to the first STA and a remaining STA among the at least one STA.
