OLED display panel including pixel definition layer having protrusions
View Patent ↗An OLED display panel and a fabrication method of the OLED display panel are provided. The OLED display panel includes a substrate, a planarization layer, a pixel definition layer, a cover plate, a first encapsulation part, and a second encapsulation part. The substrate includes a display area and a frame area. The pixel definition layer is provided with the first protrusion in the frame area, and at least a portion of the first protrusion is covered by the first encapsulation part.
1 . An OLED display panel including a pixel definition layer having protrusions, comprising:
a substrate, wherein the substrate comprises a display area and a frame area arranged on a periphery of the display area;
a planarization layer, wherein the planarization layer is provided on the substrate;
the pixel definition layer, wherein the pixel definition layer is provided on the planarization layer, and the pixel definition layer is provided with a first protrusion in the frame area;
a cover plate, wherein the cover plate is located on a side of the substrate where the pixel definition layer is provided, and is disposed opposite to the substrate;
a first encapsulation part, wherein the first encapsulation part is filled between the pixel definition layer and the cover plate and extends from the display area to the frame area, and the first encapsulation part at least covers a portion of the first protrusion; and
a second encapsulation part, wherein the second encapsulation part is filled between the pixel definition layer and the cover plate and is arranged around the first encapsulation part;
wherein the planarization layer is provided with a second protrusion in the frame area, and a portion of the pixel definition layer in the frame area covers the second protrusion.

The OLED display panel according to claim 1 , wherein the OLED display panel further comprises a first electrode layer, the first electrode layer is provided on the planarization layer, the pixel definition layer is provided on the a first electrode layer, the first electrode layer comprises an anode and the second protrusion, the pixel definition layer is provided with an opening in the display area, the anode is arranged in the opening, the second protrusion is located in the frame area, and a portion of the pixel definition layer in the frame area covers the second protrusion.
3 . The OLED display panel according to claim 2 , wherein the first protrusion covers the second protrusion.
4 . The OLED display panel according to claim 2 , wherein a number of the first protrusion is at least two, portion located between adjacent first protrusions of the pixel definition layer is a recessed portion, and the recessed portion covers the second protrusion.
5 . The OLED display panel according to claim 1 , wherein the second encapsulation part comprises a frame glue, and the first encapsulation part comprises a filling glue.

The OLED display panel according to claim 5 , wherein the first encapsulation part further comprises a moisture-absorbing glue, the moisture-absorbing glue is filled in the frame area, and the second encapsulation part is located in the frame area and arranged around the filling glue and the moisture-absorbing glue.

The OLED display panel according to claim 6 , wherein the moisture-absorbing glue is disposed between the second encapsulation part and the filling glue, the moisture-absorbing glue is filled between the pixel definition layer and the cover plate and covers at least a portion of the first protrusion, and the filling glue covers a rest portion of the first protrusion.

The OLED display panel according to claim 6 , wherein the filling glue extends from the display area to the frame area and is abutted against the second encapsulation part, the moisture-absorbing glue is filled between a portion of the filling glue in the frame area and the pixel definition layer, and the moisture-absorbing glue covers the first protrusion.
9 . The OLED display panel according to claim 1 , wherein the pixel definition layer comprises a first pixel definition layer and a second pixel definition layer, the first pixel definition layer covers the planarization layer, the second pixel definition layer is disposed on the first pixel definition layer and located in the display area, and a portion of the first pixel definition layer in the frame area is provided with the first protrusion.
10 . An OLED display panel including a pixel definition layer having protrusions, comprising:
a substrate, wherein the substrate comprises a display area and a frame area arranged on a periphery of the display area;
a planarization layer, wherein the planarization layer is provided on the substrate;
the pixel definition layer, wherein the pixel definition layer is provided on the planarization layer, and the pixel definition layer is provided with a first protrusion in the frame area;
a cover plate, wherein the cover plate is located on a side of the substrate where the pixel definition layer is provided, and is disposed opposite to the substrate;
a first encapsulation part, wherein the first encapsulation part is filled between the pixel definition layer and the cover plate and extends from the display area to the frame area, and the first encapsulation part at least covers a portion of the first protrusion; and
a second encapsulation part, wherein the second encapsulation part is filled between the pixel definition layer and the cover plate and is arranged around the first encapsulation part, and moisture-absorbing particles are added in the second encapsulation part.
11 . The OLED display panel according to claim 10 , wherein the OLED display panel further comprises a first electrode layer, the first electrode layer is provided on the planarization layer, the pixel definition layer is provided on the a first electrode layer, the first electrode layer comprises an anode and a second protrusion, the pixel definition layer is provided with an opening in the display area, the anode is arranged in the opening, the second protrusion is located in the frame area, and a portion of the pixel definition layer in the frame area covers the second protrusion.
12 . The OLED display panel according to claim 10 , wherein the planarization layer is provided with a second protrusion in the frame area, and a portion of the pixel definition layer in the frame area covers the second protrusion.
13 . The OLED display panel according to claim 11 , wherein the first protrusion covers the second protrusion.
14 . The OLED display panel according to claim 11 , wherein a number of the first protrusion is at least two, portion located between adjacent first protrusions of the pixel definition layer is a recessed portion, and the recessed portion covers the second protrusion.
15 . The OLED display panel according to claim 10 , wherein the second encapsulation part comprises a frame glue, and the first encapsulation part comprises a filling glue.

The OLED display panel according to claim 15 , wherein the first encapsulation part further comprises a moisture-absorbing glue, the moisture-absorbing glue is filled in the frame area, and the second encapsulation part is located in the frame area and arranged around the filling glue and the moisture-absorbing glue.

The OLED display panel according to claim 16 , wherein the moisture-absorbing glue is disposed between the second encapsulation part and the filling glue, the moisture-absorbing glue is filled between the pixel definition layer and the cover plate and covers at least a portion of the first protrusion, and the filling glue covers a rest portion of the first protrusion.
18 . The OLED display panel according to claim 16 , wherein the filling glue extends from the display area to the frame area and is abutted against the second encapsulation part, the moisture-absorbing glue is filled between a portion of the filling glue in the frame area and the pixel definition layer, and the moisture-absorbing glue covers the first protrusion.
