Stretch woven fabrics
View Patent ↗The invention provides a polyester bicomponent core spun yarn comprising a sheath of at least one hard fiber and having an English cotton count of from about 5 to about 60 and a core of bicomponent polyester filament. The invention further includes a fabric substantially free of grin-through of the bicomponent polyester filament.
1. A woven stretch fabric having warp and weft yarns and comprising polyester bicomponent filament core spun yarn, wherein
a) the bicomponent filament core spun yarn comprises
i) a sheath of at least one hard staple fiber;
ii) a core of polyester bicomponent filament comprising poly(trimethylene terephthalate) and at least one polymer selected from the group consisting of poly(ethylene terephthalate), poly(trimethylene terephthalate), and poly(tetramethylene terephthalate) or a combination of such members, having an after heat-set crimp contraction value of from about 10% to about 80%; and
the fabric is substantially free of bicomponent filament grin-through wherein
a) the weft yarn comprises polyester bicomponent core spun yarn;
b) the warp yarn comprises staple spun yarn or filament; and
c) the available fabric stretch in the weft direction is from about 10% to about 35%.
2. The fabric of claim 1 comprising a garment.
