Abstract

A method and apparatus for allowing a customer to conduct or initiate a transaction for purchasing, renting, leasing, etc. a product or a service during which the customer will provide one or more transaction inputs. One or more transaction outcomes or outputs will be determined, based at least in part on or using one or more transaction inputs. The transaction outcomes are provided to the customer via an entertainment interface into which one or more of the transaction outputs are integrated.

Claims (14)

1. A method for conducting a transaction, comprising:

receiving at least one transaction input from a customer in accordance with a transaction interface previously provided to said customer;

determining at least one transaction output according to at least one rule; and

providing at least one of said at least one transaction outputs in such a manner that said at least one transaction output appears to have been determined randomly,

wherein said providing at least one of said at least one transaction outputs in such a manner that said at least one transaction output appears to have been determined randomly includes integrating said at least one of said at least one transaction outputs into a display of at least one simulated slot machine reel.

2. A method for conducting a transaction, comprising:

receiving at least one transaction input from a customer in accordance with a transaction interface previously provided to said customer;

determining at least one transaction output according to a first rule; and

providing at least one of said at least one transaction outputs in such a manner that said at least one transaction output appears to have been determined according to a second rule different from said first rule, wherein said providing of said at least one of said at least one transaction outputs in such a manner that said at least one transaction output appears to have been determined according to a second rule includes integrating said at least one of said at least one transaction outputs into a display of at least one simulated slot machine reel.

3. A method for conducting a transaction, comprising:

receiving at least one transaction input from a customer in accordance with a transaction interface previously provided to said customer;

determining at least one transaction output according to at least one rule; and

providing at least one of said at least one transaction outputs in such a manner that said at least one transaction output appears to have been determined in a manner other than in accordance with said at least one rule,

wherein said providing at least one of said at least one transaction outputs in such a manner that said at least one transaction output appears to have been determined according in a manner other than in accordance with said at least one rule includes integrating said at least one of said at least one transaction outputs into a display of at least one simulated slot machine reel.
