Abstract

A device for attaching a handle or handlebar to a portable tool to be adjustable about two parallel axes in order to increase the range for the adjustments of position of the handle or handlebar relative to the tool. The device can also be used with existing tools.

Claims (10)

1. A Device for attaching a handle to a holder fastened to a portable tool, comprising:

a lower part comprising a semicylindrical groove for accommodating the handle “an axle and a pair of arms; the pair of arms attaching the semicylindrical groove to the axle”;

an upper part that keeps the handle in the groove on the lower part;

a screw fastening the upper part to the lower part so that the handle can be secured in a selected position;

a holder for attachment to the portable tool, and the axle of the lower part being received within the holder for attachment of the handle to the portable tool so that the handle can be turned around a first axis, wherein the first axis is pivotable about a second axis located in the holder on the tool, and wherein the second axis is parallel to the first axis.

2. A device according to claim 1 , wherein an axial direction of the groove is parallel to an axial direction of the axle.

3. A device according to claim 2 , wherein the axial direction of the axle is the same as the second axis that the handle turns around.

4. A device according to claim 2 , wherein the length of the arm determines a range for adjustment of the handle in an axial direction along the tool and a height above the tool.

5. A device according to claim 1 , wherein a length of the arm determines a range for adjustment of the handle in an axial direction along the tool and a height above the tool.

6. A device according to claim 1 , wherein the holder comprises two jaws connected by a screw so that the axle can be secured between the jaws in a selected position.
