Abstract

An element dispensing package suitable for dispensing adhesive strips or bandages. Each element is contained within an envelope formed by opposed upper and lower sheets. The lower sheet has a release liner secured thereto to protect the element while it is within the dispenser. The element is releasably secured to a pull cover and is separated from the lower sheet and release liner when the envelope is opened. The pull cover has one or more gripping means to facilitate dispensing of the element contained within the package. Additionally, the lower sheet and upper sheet have optional gripping means to facilitate dispensing of the element contained within the package.

Claims (24)

1. A bandage package apparatus, comprising:

a first tab located at an exterior end of said pull cover and extending beyond the outer periphery of at least one of said upper sheet and said lower sheet, said first tab adapted to be grasped by a user, wherein the act of pulling said first tab causes the separation of said release liner from said adhesive strip and also causes the removal of said adhesive strip from said package.

2. The apparatus according to claim 1 , further comprising a second tab suitable for grasping and attached to the combination formed by said upper sheet and said lower sheet such that said second tab is located opposite said first tab.

3. The apparatus according to claim 1 , wherein said pull cover is releasably attached to said upper sheet using a peel-stress type bond.

4. The apparatus according to claim 1 , wherein said pull cover is releasably attached to said lower sheet using a peel-stress type bond.

5. The apparatus according to claim 1 , further comprising an appendage on said lower sheet and an appendage on said upper sheet, said pull cover being releasably attached to said appendages.

6. The apparatus according to claim 1 , further comprising an absorbent pad attached to said lower surface of said adhesive strip.

7. The apparatus according to claim 1 , further comprising a pull tab attached to said pull cover and adapted to be suitable for grasping.

8. The apparatus according to claim 7 , wherein said pull tab is attached to said pull cover such that a portion of said adhesive strip is positioned therebetween.

9. A bandage package apparatus, comprising:

a lower sheet having an upper surface, a lower surface and an appendage;

a release liner attached to said lower sheet;

a bandage having an upper surface and a lower surface, said lower surface of said bandage being releasably attached to said release liner;

an upper sheet having an upper surface, a lower surface and an appendage, said upper sheet being attached to said lower sheet;

a pull cover releaseably attached to said appendage of said upper sheet, said appendage of said lower sheet and said bandage, wherein said upper sheet and said lower sheet are releasably attached to each other along their outer perimeter except for a portion where they are attached to said pull cover, said pull cover adapted to form an envelope for enclosing and retaining said bandage within said package;

a first tab located at an exterior end of said pull cover and extending beyond the outer periphery of at least one of said lower sheet, said first tab adapted to be suitable for grasping;

a pull tab adapted to he grasped by a user, said pull tab being associated with said pull cover; and

wherein the act of pulling said first tab causes the separation of said pull cover from said upper sheet and said lower sheet, the separation of said release liner from said bandage and the removal of said adhesive strip from said package.

10. The apparatus according to 9 , further comprising a second tab suitable for grasping and attached to the combination formed by said upper sheet and said lower sheet such that said second tab is located opposite said first tab.
