Abstract

A vinylidene fluoride resin composition which is stable to heat at molding temperatures and is free from foaming and coloration, and molded products made by forming the vinylidene fluoride resin composition are provided. The vinylidene fluoride resin composition may comprise 100 parts by weight of a vinylidene fluoride homopolymer; 2-20 parts by weight of a polyester plasticizer; 0.01-0.5 parts by weight of a phosphite compound; and a phenol compound.

Claims (45)

1. A vinylidene fluoride resin composition, comprising:

100 parts by weight of a vinylidene fluoride homopolymer;

2-20 parts by weight of a polyester plasticizer;

0.01-0.5 parts by weight of a phosphite compound; and

a phenol compound.

2. The vinylidene fluoride resin composition according to claim 1 , wherein the phenol compound is present in an amount of about 1-10 times the amount of the phosphite compound.

3. The vinylidene fluoride resin composition according to claim 1 , wherein the phenol compound is present in an amount equivalent to the amount of the phosphite compound.

4. A vinylidene fluoride resin composition, consisting of:

100 parts by weight of a vinylidene fluoride homopolymer;

2-20 parts by weight of a polyester plasticizer;

0.01-0.5 parts by weight of a phosphite compound; and

a phenol compound in an amount of about 1-10 times the amount of the phosphite compound.

5. The vinylidene fluoride resin composition according to claim 4 , wherein the phenol compound is present in an amount of 2-6 times the amount of the phosphite compound.

6. The vinylidene fluoride resin composition according to claim 4 , wherein the phenol compound is present in an amount equivalent to the amount of the phosphite compound.

7. A molded product comprising the composition according to claim 1 .

8. A fiber comprising the composition according to claim 1 .

9. A fishing line comprising the composition according to claim 1 .

10. A molded product comprising the composition according to claim 4 .

11. A fiber comprising the composition according to claim 4 .

12. A fishing line comprising the composition according to claim 4 .

13. A molded product comprising the composition according to claim 6 .

14. A fiber comprising the composition according to claim 6 .

15. A fishing line comprising the composition according to claim 6 .

16. A method of forming a product, comprising molding a vinylidene fluoride resin composition at a temperature of 280° C. or higher,

wherein said vinylidene fluoride resin composition comprises (1) 100 parts by weight of a vinylidene fluoride homopolymer; (2) 2-20 parts by weight of a polyester plasticizer; (3) 0.01-0.5 parts by weight of a phosphite compound; and (4) a phenol compound.

17. The method according to claim 16 , wherein the phenol compound is present in an amount of about 1-10 times the amount of the phosphite compound.

18. The method according to claim 16 , wherein the phenol compound is present in an amount equivalent to the amount of the phosphite compound.

19. A method of making a fishing line, comprising:

melt-spinning a vinylidene fluoride resin composition;

cooling the vinylidene fluoride resin composition; and

drawing the vinylidene fluoride resin composition,

wherein said vinylidene fluoride resin composition comprises (1) 100 parts by weight of a vinylidene fluoride homopolymer; (2) 2-20 parts by weight of a polyester plasticizer; (3) 0.01-0.5 parts by weight of a phosphite compound; and (4) a phenol compound.

20. The method according to claim 19 , wherein the phenol compound is present in an amount of about 1-10 times the amount of the phosphite compound.

21. The method according to claim 19 , wherein the phenol compound is present in an amount equivalent to the amount of the phosphite compound.

22. A vinylidene fluoride resin composition according to claim 1 , wherein the polyester plasticizer is a polyester of a dicarboxylic acid selected from the group consisting of oxalic acid, malonic acid, succinic acid, and glutaric acid.

A vinylidene fluoride resin composition according to claim 1 , wherein the phosphite compound is selected from the group consisting of tetra(diphenylphosphite)pentaerythritol, diphenylpentaerythritol diphosphite, triphenyldipentaerythritol phosphite, tripentaerythritol diphosphite, phenylneopentyl phosphite, and trimethylolpropane phosphite.

24. A vinylidene fluoride resin composition according to claim 1 , wherein the phosphite compound is selected from the group consisting of tris(2-ethylhexyl)phosphite, tris(tridecyl)phosphite, and diphenyl mono(2-ethylhexyl)phosphite.

25. A vinylidene fluoride resin composition according to claim 1 , wherein the phenol compound is selected from the group consisting 4,4′-iso-propylidene diphenol and 1,6-hexamethylenebis[(3,5-di-tert-butyl-4-hydroxyphenyl) propionic acid amide].

26. A vinylidene fluoride resin composition according to claim 1 , wherein foaming and coloration of the resin composition are prevented during molding of the resin composition.

27. A vinylidene fluoride resin composition according to claim 1 , wherein bleed-out of the polyester plasticizer is suppressed during and after molding of the resin composition.

28. A method of making a fishing line, comprising:

melt-spinning a vinylidene fluoride resin composition;

cooling the vinylidene fluoride resin composition; and

drawing the vinylidene fluoride resin composition,

wherein said vinylidene fluoride resin composition consists of (1) 100 parts by weight of a vinylidene fluoride homopolymer; (2) 2-20 parts by weight of a polyester plasticizer; (3) 0.01-0.5 parts by weight of a phosphite compound; and (4) a phenol compound.
