Abstract

Surface structured decorative boards ( 1 ) having a first and a second opposite edge ( 1 I and 1 II respectively). The board ( 1 ) include an upper side decorative surface ( 2 ) an upper side surface structure and a base layer. The structure is comprised by at least two surface grades ( 10 ) forming a decorative surface pattern on said upper side, said pattern being applied in predetermined fixed positions (P) on the first and the second edges ( 1 I and 1 II respectively). The first edge pattern positions (P L ) and the second edge pattern positions (P R ) are matched so that the pattern continues over the first and second edges ( 1 I and 1 II respectively) of adjacent boards ( 1 ).

Claims (28)

1. A surface comprising:

first, second, third and fourth structured decorative boards each of said boards comprising:

first, second, and third and fourth edges, wherein:

said first and second edges are opposite;

said third and fourth edges are opposite;

at least one of said first, second, and third and fourth edges comprise a tongue; and

at least another of said first, second, and third and fourth edges comprise a groove;

an upper surface having a texture, said texture comprises at least two heights;

wherein:

said texture on said first board is positioned such that when said first edge of said first board is joined to one of said edges of said second board, said texture on said first board extends over the joint formed between said first and second boards to match said texture of said second board at said joint;

said texture on said first board is positioned such that when said second edge of said first board is joined to one of said edges of said third board, said texture on said first board extends over the joint formed between said first and third boards to match said texture of said third board at said joint; and

said texture on said first board is positioned such that when said third edge of said first board is joined to one of said edges of said fourth board said texture on said first board extends over the joint formed between said first and fourth boards to match said texture of said fourth board at said joint.

2. The surface according to claim 1 , wherein the texture consists of a number of sections of parallel rows of bars, where the bars in adjoining rows are mutually offset in the longitudinal direction.

3. The surface according to claim 2 , wherein said texture comprises a demarcation section, said demarcation section consisting of a 1-20 mm wide field, said field comprising a single height, said demarcation section located between adjacent textures.

4. The surface according to claim 3 , wherein said field of said demarcation section is 3-10 mm wide.

5. The surface according to claim 2 , wherein a demarcation section consisting of a 1-20 mm wide field, said field gradually changes from a first texture into another surface texture.

6. The surface according to claim 1 , wherein the upper surface comprises a decorative layer, an ionomeric polymer and hard particles.

7. The surface according to claim 1 , wherein the upper surface comprises a decorative layer, an ionomeric polymer, overlay paper, impregnated with melamine formaldehyde and hard particles.

8. The surface according to claim 1 , wherein said texture is constant over a matching tolerance distance (D).

9. The surface according to claim 8 , wherein the matching tolerance distance (D) is in the range 1-20 mm.

10. The surface according to claim 8 , wherein the matching tolerance distance (D) is in the range 1-10 mm.

11. The surface according to claim 8 , wherein the matching tolerance distance (D) is in the range 1-5 mm.

12. The surface according to claim 1 , wherein at least one texture is selected from the group consisting of groups of small oblong indentations, ridges and recesses and combinations thereof.

13. The surface of claim 1 , wherein each of said first, second, and third and fourth edges comprise at least one selected from the group consisting of a tongue and a groove.

14. The surface of claim 1 , further comprising a fifth board, said fifth board comprising edges and an upper surface having a texture, said texture comprising at least two heights; wherein

said texture on said first board is positioned such that when said fourth edge of said first board is joined to one of said edges of said fifth board said texture on said first board extends over the joint formed between said first and fifth boards to match said texture of said fifth board at said joint.

15. A structure comprising the surface of claim 1 , wherein said structure is selected from the group consisting of a table top, work top and wall panel.

16. A structure comprising the surface of claim 1 , wherein said structure is a floor.
