Abstract

CTLA-8 related antigens from mammals, reagents related thereto including purified proteins, specific antibodies, and nucleic acids encoding said antigens. Methods of using said reagents and diagnostic kits are also provided.

Claims (19)

1. An isolated or recombinant polypeptide comprising:

a) SEQ ID NOs: 14, 16, or 18;

b) amino acid residues 1-145 of SEQ ID NO: 14.

2. The polypeptide of claim 1 , wherein the polypeptide is:

a) a fusion protein;

b) attached to a solid substrate;

c) in a sterile composition; or

d) glycosylated.

3. The polypeptide of claim 2 , wherein the fusion protein is coupled to a fusion partner selected from the group consisting of:

a) luciferase;

b) β-galactosidase;

c) trpE;

d) Protein A;

e) b-lactamase

f) α-amylase; and

g) alcohol dehydrogenase.

4. The polypeptide of claim 1 , wherein the polypeptide is recombinantly produced.

5. The polypeptide of claim 1 , wherein the polypeptide is synthetically produced.

6. A composition comprising the polypeptide of claim 2 in conjunction with a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier.
