Hole transport polymers and devices made with such polymers
View Patent ↗The present invention is generally directed to a hole transport polymer comprising a polymeric backbone having linked thereto a plurality of substituents comprising fused aromatic ring groups, with the proviso that the polymer does not contain groups selected from triarylamines and carbazole groups. It further relates to devices that are made with the polymer.
1. A hole transport polymer comprising a polymeric backbone having linked Thereto a plurality of substituents, said substituents comprising at least one fused aromatic ring group, with the proviso that the polymer does not contain groups selected from triarylamines groups and carbazole groups wherein the polymeric backbone is selected from polyaramides, polystyrenes, polyarylenes, polyesters, polyvinyl ethers and polyvinyl esters.
2. The hole transport polymer of claim 1 wherein the fused aromatic ring groups are selected from naphthyl, anthracyl, phenanthryl, phenalenyl, fluorenyl, pyrenyl. tetracenyl and pentacenyl groups.
