Abstract

A forearm extension for an adjustable extension arm for mounting an electronic device. The forearm extension provides a cable pathway therethrough in which a cable for an electronic device may extend for protecting and/or obscuring the cable from view.

Claims (16)

1. A forearm extension for coupling an electronic display monitor thereto, said forearm extension comprising a body including a bottom wall, said body having a first end including a first female coupling and a second end including a second female coupling adapted for coupling said electronic display monitor thereto, said second female coupling having a sidewall providing a bore therein, said body having a first opening adjacent said first female coupling and a second opening in said bottom wall adjacent to said second female coupling, said first and second openings in communication with each other through a channel provided within said body extending between said first and second female couplings, said bore separated from said channel by said sidewall, said second opening arranged adjacent said sidewall spaced from said bore.

2. The forearm extension of claim 1 , wherein said body includes an elongated top opening in communication with said channel therein.

3. The forearm extension of claim 2 , further including a cover removably received within said top opening, said cover permitting external access to said channel within said body through said second opening.

4. The forearm extension of claim 3 , wherein said second opening is arranged between one end of said cover and said second end of said body.

5. The forearm extension of claim 3 , wherein said body includes a bottom wall, said second opening extending between said bottom wall and said cover adjacent said second end of said body.

6. The forearm extension of claim 1 , wherein said body includes a bottom wall, said second opening arranged in said bottom wall adjacent said second end of said body.

7. The forearm extension of claim 1 , further including a mounting assembly attached to said second end of said body, said mounting assembly having a support plate for attachment to an electronic display monitor.

8. The forearm extension of claim 1 , wherein said bore is in communication with said channel through a path extending from within said channel, through said second opening to the exterior of said bottom wall of said body, and then into said bore.

9. A forearm extension for mounting a device thereto having a cable pathway, said forearm extension comprising a body having an internal elongated channel opening upward and extending between first and second ends of said body, said second end adapted for mounting said device thereto, wherein said body has a cable pathway between said first end and said second end extending through said first end and said channel, a cover removably attachable to said body overlying said internal elongated channel, said cover forming an opening at one end thereof to provide external access to said internal elongated channel, wherein said opening formed by said cover is arranged adjacent said second end of said body.

10. The forearm extension of claim 9 , wherein said body includes a bottom wall having an opening adjacent said second end of said body, said opening providing external access to said internal elongated channel.

11. The forearm extension of claim 9 , further including a tubular member received within said first end of said body, said body being rotationally attached to said tubular member.

12. The forearm extension of claim 11 , wherein said tubular member has a side opening therein providing communication with said internal channel within said body.

13. A forearm extension for mounting an electronic device thereto, said forearm extension comprising a body having a first end and a second end adapted for attachment of said electronic device thereto, said second end having a sidewall providing a bore therein, said first end having a through hole communicating with said second end by a U-shaped member having a bottom wall and a pair of spaced apart sidewalls, said U-shaped member forming an internal elongated first channel in communication with said through hole, a cover releasably attached to said body overlying said through hole and a portion of said U-shaped member for enclosing said internal elongated first channel, at least one opening in said in bottom wall adjacent said second end to provide external access to said internal elongated first channel, said bore separated from said internal elongated first channel by said sidewall, said at least one opening in said bottom wall arranged adjacent said sidewall spaced from said bore.

14. The forearm extension of claim 13 , further including a tubular member received within said first end of said body, said body being rotationally attached to said tubular member.

15. The forearm extension of claim 14 , wherein said tubular member has a side opening therein providing communication with said internal channel within said body.

16. The forearm exterior of claim 13 , wherein said bore is in communication with said internal elongated first channel through a path extending from within said internal elongated first channel, through said at least one opening in said bottom wall to the extension of said bottom wall, and then into said bore.
