Method and apparatus for producing granulated powder of rare earth alloy and method for producing rare earth alloy sintered compact
View Patent ↗A method of making a rare-earth alloy granulated powder according to the present invention includes the steps of: preparing a rare-earth alloy powder; generating remanent magnetization in the powder; and granulating the powder by utilizing agglomeration force produced by the remanent magnetization of the powder. Since the agglomeration force produced by the remanent magnetization is utilized, the addition of a granulating agent may be omitted.
1. A rare-earth alloy granulated powder including a rare-earth alloy powder with remanent magnetization and a mean particle size of 1.5 μm to 6 μm, the granulated powder having a mean particle size of 0.05 mm to 3.0 mm, wherein the powder is coupled together via agglomeration force produced by remanent magnetization.
2. The rare-earth alloy granulated powder of claim 1 , wherein the remanent Magnetization is more than about 0 mT and equal to or smaller than about 10 mT.
