Abstract

A peptide, with the sequence (AA)n-Arg-Gly-Ser-(AA)n, where (AA) is any amino acid or a derivative thereof and n=0 to 3, as an active ingredient in or for the preparation of a cosmetic and/or dermatological and/or pharmaceutical preparation. The invention also relates to the use thereof for the treatment, amongst others, of the effects of cutaneous aging and/or the use thereof against cellulite, to a composition comprising the same and to a cosmetic method for the treatment of the skin using said peptide or the composition.

Claims (9)

1. A method for increasing lipolysis in adipocytes, comprising administering to a subject an effective amount of a composition, said composition comprising, in an acceptable medium, as an active ingredient, at least a peptide of formula (I):

(AA)n-Arg-Gly-Ser-(AA)m  (I),

Wherein (AA) is any amino acid, n and m are integers ranging between 0 and 3, and said peptide has a protective group in the form of an amidation of the carboxy-terminal end.

2. The method according claim 1 , wherein the peptide sequence is Arg-Gly-Ser.

3. The method according to claim 1 , wherein the peptide of formula (I) is present in the composition at a concentration ranging from approximately 0.005 and 500 ppm, compared to the total weight of the final composition.

4. The method according to claim 1 , wherein said composition is in the form of a cosmetic, or dermatological composition adapted for topical cutaneous application comprising a pharmaceutically or cosmetically acceptable medium.

5. The method according to claim 1 , wherein the peptide of formula (I) is solubilized in one or more cosmetically or pharmaceutically acceptable solvents selected from the group consisting of water, ethanol, propanol, isopropanol, propylene glycol, butylene glycol, dipropylene glycol, ethoxylated diglycol, propoxylated diglycol, cyclic polyol, petroleum jelly, liposomes, and a vegetable oil.

6. The method according to claim 1 , wherein the peptide of formula (I) is adsorbed on powdered organic polymers, or mineral supports.

7. The method according to claim 1 , wherein said composition is presented in a form selected from the group consisting of an aqueous solution, hydroalcoholic solution, oily solution in oil-in-water emulsion, water-in-oil emulsion, multiple emulsion, cream, suspension, powder, a lotion, a milk, a serum, a pomade, a gel, a paste, a foam, and a stick.
