Abstract

There is here disclosed a plastic package ( 1 ) which has a thin-film layered structure ( 2 ) constituted of substances having different refractive indices and which is colored by an interference effect due to the thin-film layered structure ( 2 ). The plastic package is characterized in that, on a part of the surface of the plastic package, portions which are different in optical characteristics from the surface are periodically arranged.

Claims (10)

1. A plastic package, comprising:

a main portion formed of crystalline resin; and

another portion having a periodic structure of a spot or a line arranged on a surface thereof, the spot or the line having different optical characteristics from the main portion,

wherein the periodic structure is arranged at a predetermined interval according to a color to be colored or a wavelength of a light to be shielded for at least 10 periods in a two-dimensional manner or a three-dimensional manner,

the periodic structure diffracts and interferes light such that the periodic structure forms the color, and

said main portion includes an oriented crystalline portion with spherulite sites periodically arranged therein.

2. The plastic package according to claim 1 , wherein the spherulite sites have refractive index different from that of the oriented crystalline portion.

3. The plastic package according to claim 1 , wherein the main portion has convex portions having lens effects.

4. The plastic package according to claim 1 , wherein the optical characteristics include a refractive index.

5. The plastic package according to claim 4 , wherein the optical characteristics further include a reflection, a light transmittance, a light absorbance, or a polarization degree.
