Abstract

The invention relates to an adhesive film comprising at least two adhesive layers (i) and (ii), which differ chemically from one another. The inventive film is characterized in that one layer (i) is suited to bond with epoxy materials and/or polyimides-and the other layer (ii) is suited to bond with polycarbonate, polyethylene, polypropylene, acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene copolymer plastics, polyethylene terephthalate and/or polyvinylchloride.

Claims (16)

1 . An adhesive film provided with at least two adhesive layers (i) and (ii), the at least two layers (i) and (ii) of the adhesive film differing chemically from one another, wherein one layer (i) exhibits high suitability for bonding with epoxy materials and/or polyimides and the other layer (ii) exhibits high suitability for bonding with polycarbonate, polyethylene, polypropylene, acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene copolymer plastics, polyethylene terephthalate and/or polyvinyl chloride.

2 . The adhesive film of claim 1 , provided with at least two adhesive layers (i) and (ii), the at least two layers (i) and (ii) of the adhesive film differing chemically from one another, wherein

layer (i) is based on thermoplastic polymers, in particular based on polyesters, polyamides, copolyesters and/or copolyamides, and

layer (ii) is based on polyurethanes, rubbers, , and/or on heat-activatable systems.

3 . The adhesive film of claim 1 , comprising a thickness of between 10 and 125 μm.

4 . The adhesive film of claim 1 , wherein between layer (i) and layer (ii) there are one or more further layers (interlayers).

5 . The adhesive film of claim 4 , wherein the interlayer or at least one of the interlayers is a primer layer.

6 . The adhesive film of claim 5 , wherein the primer possesses functional groups for crosslinking, selected from aziridines, polyfunctional epoxides, polyfunctional hydroxyl groups, polyfunctional amines, polyfunctional carbodiimides, polyfunctional isocyanates, polyfunctional carboxylic acids, polyfunctional carboxylic anhydrides, polyimidoamines and/or polyfunctional amides.

7 . The adhesive film of claim 4 , wherein the interlayer or at least one of the interlayers is composed of an elastomer.

8 . The adhesive film of at least claim 4 , wherein the interlayer or at least one of the interlayers is composed of a thermoplastic.

9 . A process for producing an adhesive film of claim 1 , wherein adhesive layers (i) and/or (ii) are coated from the melt.

10 . The process of claim 9 for producing an adhesive film wherein the interlayer(s) is (are) laminated on.

11 . The process of claim 9 for producing an adhesive film wherein the interlayer(s) is (are) coated from solution onto adhesive layer (i) or (ii).

12 . The process of claim 9 for producing an adhesive film wherein adhesive layers (i) and/or (ii) and at least one of the interlayers are coated simultaneously from the melt by the coextrusion method.

13 . The process of claim 9 , wherein one, two or all layers are pretreated by corona, plasma or flame.

14 . A process for producing the adhesive film of claim 1 , comprising coating adhesive layers (i) and/or (ii) are coated from solution onto at least one of the interlayers, the at least one interlayer being pretreated if desired by corona, plasma or flame.
