Hexyl carboxanilides and their use for controlling fungi
View Patent ↗The invention relates to novel hexylcarboxanilides of the formula (I) in which L, R 1 , R 3 and A are as defined in the disclosure, to a plurality of processes for preparing these compounds and their use for controlling unwanted microorganisms, and to novel intermediates and their preparation.
1. A hexylcarboxanilide of formula (I)
in which
L represents
R 1 represents hydrogen, C 1 -C 8 -alkyl, or C 1 -C 6 -haloalkyl,
R 2 represents hydrogen, fluorine, chlorine, methyl, or trifluoromethyl,
R 3 represents C 1 -C 8 -alkyl or C 1 -C 8 -haloalkyl, and
A represents a radical of formula (A1)
in which
R 10 represents hydrogen, hydroxyl, formyl, cyano, fluorine, chlorine, bromine, nitro, C 1 -C 4 -alkyl, C 1 -C 4 -alkoxy, C 1 -C 4 -alkylthio, or C 3 -C 6 -cycloalkyl; represents C 1 -C 4 -haloalkyl, C 1 -C 4 -haloalkoxy, or C 1 -C 4 -haloalkylthio having in each case 1 to 5 halogen atoms; or represents aminocarbonyl or aminocarbonyl-C 1 -C 4 -alkyl,
R 11 represents hydrogen, chlorine, bromine, iodine, cyano, C 1 -C 4 -alkyl, C 1 -C 4 -alkoxy, or C 1 -C 4 -alkylthio; or represents C 1 -C 4 -haloalkyl or C 1 -C 4 -haloalkylthio having in each case 1 to 5 halogen atoms, and
R 12 represents hydrogen, C 1 -C 4 -alkyl, hydroxy-C 1 -C 4 -alkyl, C 2 -C 6 -alkenyl, C 3 -C 6 -cycloalkyl, C 1 -C 4 -alkylthio-C 1 -C 4 -alkyl, C 1 -C 4 - or alkoxy-C 1 -C 4 -alkyl; represents C 1 -C 4 -haloalkyl, C 1 -C 4 -haloalkylthio-C 1 -C 4 -alkyl or C 1 -C 4 -haloalkoxy-C 1 -C 4 -alkyl having in each case 1 to 5 halogen atoms; or represents phenyl.
2. A hexylcarboxanilide of formula (I) according to claim 1 in which
L represents
R 1 represents hydrogen, C 1 -C 6 -alkyl, or C 1 -C 4 -haloalkyl,
R 2 represents hydrogen, fluorine, chlorine, methyl, or trifluoromethyl,
R 3 represents C 1 -C 6 -alkyl or C 1 -C 6 -halo-alkyl having in each case 1 to 13 fluorine, chlorine, and/or bromine atoms, and
A represents a radical of formula (A1)
in which
R 10 represents hydrogen, hydroxyl, formyl, cyano, fluorine, chlorine, bromine, methyl, ethyl, isopropyl, methoxy, ethoxy, methylthio, ethylthio, or cyclopropyl; represents C 1 -C 2 -haloalkyl or C 1 -C 2 -haloalkoxy having in each 1 to 5 fluorine, chlorine, and/or bromine atoms; or represents trifluoromethylthio, difluoromethylthio, aminocarbonyl, aminocarbonyl methyl, or aminocarbonylethyl,
R 11 represents hydrogen, chlorine, bromine, iodine, methyl, ethyl, methoxy, ethoxy, methylthio, ethylthio, or C 1 -C 2 -haloalkyl having 1 to 5 fluorine, chlorine, and/or bromine atoms, and
R 12 represents hydrogen, methyl, ethyl, n-propyl, isopropyl, C 1 -C 2 -haloalkyl having 1 to 5 fluorine, chlorine, and/or bromine atoms, hydroxymethyl, hydroxyethyl, cyclopropyl, cyclopentyl, cyclohexyl, or phenyl.
3. A hexylcarboxanilide of formula (I) according to claim 1 in which R 1 represents hydrogen.
4. A hexylcarboxanilide of formula (I) according to claim 1 in which R 3 represents C 1 -C 8 -alkyl.
5. A hexylcarboxanilide of formula (I) according to claim 1 in which R 3 represents C 1 -C 8 -haloalkyl.
6. A composition comprising one or more hexylcarboxanilides of formula (I) according to claim 1 and one or more extenders and/or surfactants.
7. A method of controlling fungi comprising applying an effective amount of one or more hexylcarboxanilides of formula (I) according to claim 1 to the fungi and/or their habitats.
