Abstract

The present invention is concerned with the use of PDE5 inhibitors in medicine.

Claims (1)

1. A method of treatment of sepsis associated encephalopathy in a patient afflicted with such disease comprising the step of administering a pharmacologically tolerable and therapeutically effective amount of 5-[2-ethoxy-5-(4-methyl-1-piperazinylsulphonyl)phenyl]-1-methyl-3-n-propyl-1,6-dihydro-7H-pyrazolo[4,3-d]pyrimidin-7-one (sildenafil) or, a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, to the patient.
