Abstract
An object of the present invention is to provide a microorganism which has a high ability of producing docosahexaenoic acid. The present invention provides a Thraustochytrium strain which has an ability of producing docosahexaenoic acid, and use thereof.
Claims (2)
1. A biologically pure culture of the Thraustochytrium strain, deposited as IPOD Accession No. FERM BP-08568, which has an ability of producing docosahexaenoic acid.
2. A biologically pure culture of a Thraustochytrium strain having all of the identifying characterstics of the Thraustochytrium strain FERM BP-08568.
