Pagewidth inkjet printer cartridge with ink delivery member
View Patent ↗An inkjet printer cartridge including one or more printing fluid reservoirs; a printing fluid delivery member defining one or more printing fluid delivery channels; and a pagewidth printhead in fluid communication with the one or more printing fluid reservoirs by means of the one or more printing fluid delivery channels.
1. An inkjet printer comprising a printer cartridge replaceably receivable in a recess of a cradle in said printer, said printer cartridge comprising:
a plurality of ink storage reservoirs;
an ink delivery member defining a plurality of ink delivery channels;
a pagewidth printhead in fluid communication with the plurality of ink storage reservoirs by means of the one or more printing fluid delivery channels;
power and data contacts for electrical connection with complementary power and data contacts on said cradle when said cartridge is received in said cradle; and
printhead maintenance means comprising a rotor element for maintaining proper printhead functioning, said rotor element being rotatably mounted adjacent and parallel to said printhead; and
said cradle comprising:
said complementary power and data contacts; and
drive means for driving said printhead maintenance means.
2. An inkjet printer according to claim 1 , wherein said cartridge includes an elongate body housing the plurality ink storage reservoirs.
3. An inkjet printer according to claim 2 , wherein the pagewidth printhead is attached to the elongate body by means of the ink delivery member.
4. An inkjet printer according to claim 2 , wherein the pagewidth printhead is attached to the elongate body.
5. An inkjet printer according to claim 4 , wherein the ink delivery member is formed from Liquid Crystal Polymer and extends the length of the printhead.
